So everything is finished before landing!
Thanks so much for everyone here for your kind assistance! Wish everyone DM and LANDED very soon!

My timeline is (in MM/DD/YYYY format):

AOR1 Received: 06/11/2015
DM1...............: 07/20/2015
File Transfer...: 07/27/2015 (to CPC-Ottawa)
IP2...............:10/09/2015
Batch Email...: 10/23/2015
DM2.............: 11/26/2015
Passport Req..: 11/27/2015
VISA ISSUED...: 12/08/2015
Return Envelope Received: 12/18/2015
LANDED..........: 01/XX/2016 (Tentative)

I think you need to add your info in the section at the bottom of the spreadsheet, and whoever owns the spreadsheet updates the upper row.

Edit: Ah it seems the spreadsheet is full, the owner needs to add more rows so that's probably the issue.

Have you ordered GCMS notes to see where your file is, its really case by case scenario. I have seen some straightforward us applicants get approved in 3 months to over a year, it seems that they sometimes process files out of order as well. In my case it took over 9 months to see DM. Think happy thoughts, most of the time your file is sitting in a pile collecting dust, when they open your file the process generally moves very quickly possibly less than 4 weeks for a DM.

Thanks for your response! I have ordered the notes but I haven’t gotten them yet. I really don’t understand this. I am so depressed. I think they are requiring to review his file because they thought his nephews and niece are his kids because they assumed from the pictures that we submitted. I do not understand how they would just assume that when we did not include these children in the application. I shouldn’t have included them, it was a mistake on our part but just assuming that solely based on the fact that they are in the pictures, that is bogus to me. I am contemplating in speaking with my MP with regards to this issue. Seriously! >:( >:( >:(

COPR yesterday in the mail. Issue date December 11th. We'll be landing this monday.

Did you guys receive a request for new passport photos? And if yes, when did you send yours in?

Ah, that would explain it, did you have to send them proof that the kids were not his? It should be an easy thing to prove. And there's no way you could have thought of this in advance! Don't stress over it, everyone has stress with this process. I promise you'll get through it ;D

Thank you. And nope, no other requests.

Will be landing tomorrow! A little nervous. I now know I don't need a B4 form since I'm not bringing anything. All I need is the COPR in Passport if I'm not mistaken?

For those that recently landed in Alberta, is there a 3 month wait time to get the Alberta health care card? Will be landing in 10 days. ;D

Hmm I thought the person who replied to you said everyone needs this form? Can you fill it out with whatever applies to you? Even if it means a lot of N/A or 0 or whatever.

Can I offer you a piece of advice. Get your documents in order for OHIP right away if you are landing in Ontario. We went to Service Ontario the day after landing and they told my husband that he needed proof of residency in addition to the landing documents. They advised him to get his driver's license and registration. OHIP does NOT come into effect 3 months after you land, it is three months after you provide proof from their three categories. They had told us that the clock started ticking the day he landed so we didn't rush, only to find out later that it does not. Check out the document list accepted by OHIP and get your paperwork to them as soon as possible. My husband took sick unexpectedly and had to be hospitalized prior to OHIP coming into effect so we are on the hook for $7000. Just didn't want to see this happen to anyone if it could be avoided. It might be worthwhile to carry insurance for those first three months to be on the safe side

Decision made! Best Christmas gift ever....

I'm decently certain that there isn't a waiting period in Alberta.

Nope, no need if you aren't bringing anything. Lots of people already live in Canada so it would be kind of silly to have this as a requirement. I suppose you could cross the border and buy something to import though.
