I appreciate you editing your post after you initially posted it. The one that started "I don't know why you would..."

yes, that is why i edited it. didn't want it to be interpreted the wrong way. i am simply not a morning person. :)

Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me,do they actually online update ECAS on Tuesday's as it says on the site?or has anyone noticed changes being made on other days of the week?

Am I wasting my time by checking every business day?

You are not wasting your time, since in my case updates were done on various days. It even happened that I checked in the morning, there was nothing, and then at some random time (10 pm or something) an update appeared. I am guessing even when they update it takes a few hours for it to appear in the system.

Received an email today from CPP-Ottawa asking for additional documents that we've already sent in? They asked for our marriage cert, which I've sent in with our application and requesting documents that my husband will reside in Canada. He does, always has and always will.... So I guess I'm confused.. But does this mean we are one step closer to being done??? :) ??

I find it puzzling (to say the least) that CIC people misplace/lose documents. Anyway, good stuff that they are looking at August applicants.

The last update to my partner's file was dated Tuesday, March 3. I know we checked Tuesday and it wasn't there, and we probably checked Wednesday but I definitely checked Thursday night and the status was still the same as it's been for a year. However, my partner checked early Saturday morning and the update appeared with Tuesday's date.

Just checked the CIC website and my status has been updated to "Medical results have been received.".
Not sure how relevant it is but hey, it is a data point and there are signs of life in Ottawa! ;D

Hi ,

My case is being processed in CPP-Ottawa but my country is not visa exempt. However my Ecas changed to decision made last week and they have not requested for ppr yet. Does anyone have similar experience and what did you do? Thanks

This is quite normal, I wouldn't worry at all!

Thanks spaceexp and beshoo!

Good to know that I am not pointlessly checking everyday!...now If I could just stop checking every couple of hours..... ;D

So Ottawa is showing movement again and did I see someone write August apps now moving? This is good news everyone!

IN PROCESS!!!!! :o Our file went to Application Received on March February 3, 2014 and sometime between last Thursday night and today (early Saturday morning) it changed to In Process March 3, 2015 (last Tuesday). There is life in Ottawa!

They asked for additional material last June and some of that we couldn't get them till late November, but it's been sitting at AR ever since.

Congrats BeShoo! This is great news!

But yikes!! It took them a year to actually start looking at your application? :-( Are you applying inland or outland?

Well, if you re-read their comment carefully, you'll notice that CIC actually looked at their application in June (4 months) and req'd additional documents. They weren't able to send those documents to CIC until the end of November, so a year isn't really how long it took them to look at their application.

I admit I quickly read the comment.

Thanks!

Just received my notes.
Other than stating that they got our requested documents we sent in,back in November, there is no other updates.

Criminality is still "in progress" since September, and security is still "not started".

Come on ottawa...I'm on my knees at this point
