Typically it seems to be about 1-2 months, but it also depends on how quickly you sent in your PPR. However, some cases take longer and some don't take as long.

You can look at the spreadsheet if you'd like to see actual dates. Anyone "purple" or "bright yellow" would have the necessary information. Anyone "green" has gotten PPR and is still waiting on their COPR in the mail (or never returned to update us - so this may not be the best category to view). There is also a field which tells you the number of days from PPR to COPR.

Take "arindam" (the furthest "landed" user at this time). On the spreadsheet, s/he got PPR on 6/12/2013 and got the visa on 7/5/2013. S/he landed two days later. On the other hand "Rattles" took 58 days to get COPR earlier this year.

And we've been waiting 153 days since PPR, and there are a couple of other lucky ones like us, so there's a chance you'll get really lucky!

Is cpp-ottawa also on complete strike or partial strike?

My daughter and I landed yesterday by plane in Edmonton. The customs officer was smiling when he called us up and started an awesome landing experience. My parents-in-law and step-son were less than an hour from the Coutts/Sweetgrass crossing, and the border officers had told my husband twice that they would probably need my original COPR showing the landing. The customs officer at the airport showed us through the other 2 officers for the procedures, and then he showed up with a detailed fax cover letter to pick up everything and fax it to a specific border guard to ensure we had no issues. My in-laws were in my husband's truck, hauling an 18' trailer with all my furniture and 100 boxes, and they never looked at anything. They had questions about the $1,000 in costume jewelry that I claimed but let it through. I will say that my daughter and I itemized 30 pages of belongings, and they pretty much looked at it and cried "Uncle!" The final agent we spoke to joked with my 22 year old that he didn't see her stuffed animal cat on her inventory, and, without missing a beat, she said that it fell under her category of "purse accessories", lol. He walked away, snickering and repeating, "purse accessories!" Very, very positive experience, we felt so welcomed. :D :D :D

Glad to hear it wen well!
I hope our experience will be as positive...
Counting down

Any good news out there from CPP-O? We're still waiting, more puzzled than impatient at this point...

Holding breath + waiting on CIC = certain death

This week my COPR should arrive by the averages. I had DM July 29th and that's usually done after they mail the COPR........ waiting waiting waiting.

Unless they're sending the cops to come pick me up and get rid of me. :P ;)

Don't worry, the exception makes the rule. Yours should come in a week or so.

Ours still "application received" - got ppr on June 12 with documents request. Who knows when COPR will arrive. :-X

With a document request you're often looking at closer to 50-60 days, though the summer might add a bit of time because of VO vacations, so you're still within the norm. If you emailed the requested docs and passport copies, it will likely be faster than if you had to mail the docs.

So far it has been 3 weeks+ for my wife and still "Application Received". I guess she is in that "other bucket". *sigh*. We did get a requested doc, but that was later found (they had misplaced it). So it was PPR + clarification of some questions. I guess that was enough to slow it down so it is not on the "fast track".

It's been 90 days for me so far. I got a PPR with no request for docs. I later found out that they "never received" (aka lost) my passport scan. It's been 50 days since they received it the second time. Still nothing.

It looks like Kessio and I got our PPR on the same day so we will see what happens

Are you still at "Application Received" on eCAS also?
