I thought it was odd to after he had been approved as a sponsor, in fact shocked is more like it. Buy the good is at least I know they are looking at it.

Definitely, maybe that means a passport request soon?! Hopefully!

Hey,

i know that the visa expiry date depends on the medical expiry date or the passport expiry date whatever is sooner but what is the minimum expiry period and what is the maximum expiry period ?? i mean can it be for less than a month or more than 6 months ??

One more question, i know that they can renew the medical now so how long is the renewal for like 6 month or less or its for another year ??

Thanks in advance :)

If the VO renews your medical it's usually for just one year. I'm not sure what you're asking with your first question, but it depends on how much time is left on your medicals or passport, that's how much time you'll have. It won't be for more than a year though because your medicals are only good for that long.

YAY! Visa was issued on the 8th and my COPR was in the mailbox this evening. We will be driving to Coutts to land this weekend.

What a huge relief! Especially since I have a job interview on Wednesday!

Yayy that's great news! Congrats on finally being done! =D

Wow! Congrats!

Got a reply from Ottawa stating that they need proof that I(sponsor) live and work in Ontario now. I made the move beginning of Jan. Any opinions of what I should send. I have a letter from work saying I am working there, I have my bank account info. I have no pay stubs yet. or T4's since 2010.

Received a similar email today stating my Canadian Citizen husband sponsor needs to show more proof of residency, We will be sending pay stubs, bank statements, T4 from last year. some of our utility bills have a US address as they were being sent to me to pay, but the service was in Canada. what else can we send to establish residency. The email says Driver's license property tax assessments and SSI cards are insufficient.
Not happy tonight Sad

For my fellow American applicants...
This might be too early to say but it seems that they started looking at June.

I'm curious about the applicants on the spreadsheet from May and earlier who have not yet reported any movement by CIC on the spreadsheet. Are they still waiting or have they just received their COPRs and moved on?
