Ok, so I'm more confused than ever now. I sent an email to Ottawa asking if I needed to re-do my kids' medicals or if they were just lost. I also sent a copy of the PDF files from their medical exams. I got this back:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your medical exam results have been received by our office and your application is going through the required assessment process.

An officer will contact you if additional documents are required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this will delay your application.

We appreciate your patience and keeping correspondence with our office to a minimum and up to date. In order to process request efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

Am I supposed to take that as yes they've received all 3 medicals and I'm good? CIC definitely has clarity issues.

Well, finally, some clarity. I emailed them back again asking if they had all three. So, CIC ruined my day for no reason. wtf? Good thing I didn't follow the advice of the stupid call center agent. Also, for the record, I'm a madam, not a sir. :P I hate CIC!!

Dear sir,

It means that we received medical results for everyone (three persons).

End of the month is approaching, let's hope we start hearing any more updates.

It's good that you were persistent and also got a quick response. Re-doing medicals is a big deal, so I'm sure that's why you got something so quickly.

Lmao, sir!! Well I'm glad email proved to be useful. The call centre agents really have no clue what they're talking about. I swear they just make things up when they don't know instead of admitting they don't know, which does no one any good.

You probably got some batch email from them requesting the meds when there are dependents present. They do the same thing for criminal record checks even if you have sent them already. That's why it is a good idea to order your file notes for 5 bucks before going hysterical at CIC over the phone, no wonder they don't want to talk to anybody and are so rude. :)

So someone previously mentioned that according to their MP, Ottawa had a pile of apps that would supposedly be finalized by mid-October. Where are all of those shiny DMs?!

On a side note, is the Ottawa spreadsheet still popular, or are Ottawa applicants mainly utilizing the 2015 Outland spreadsheet?

The MP was told the pile was being worked on from the middle of October and they had 30 days to get through it. So DM's by the middle of November hopefully.

It was canameraduo who was told that and they got a DM on the previous page so it looks like that's what exactly what they're doing

Hi there.

I have a quick question.

When the application moves to decision made, will re receive an email that they ave made a decision or will we just have to keep checking ECAS and wait for a COPR in the mail?

thank you

What Tf, got an email from cic requesting proof of funds and residency for me the applicant I am confused why do I as the applicant have to prove my funds or residency did anyone else get this email?

First of all, it wasn't a batch email. I already got the other two batch emails. This one was different. Second, I've been ordering my notes every month (for free because I'm in Canada) for the last four or five months and for my dependents it says the medicals are "not started." Third, I did not go 'hysterical' on the phone. I was rather calm and polite. The CIC agent was spouting nonsense and basically saying she couldn't do anything for me in a rude and condescending tone. I hung up before I said anything rude in return. I do have self-control. Don't blame me for CIC being rude and incompetent.

I haven't gotten this one, but CIC is making mistakes left and right these days. :/

I am not aware of anything in the document checklist where the principal applicant needs to provide proof of residency or proof of funds so i am not too sure why they are sending me this letter. In the letter it states my full name and then below it states proof of funds/residency. Unless i am mistaken i don't recall principal applicants needing to provide the option C printout, unless they are talking about my partner who submitted those documents along with her paystub back when we submitted in January, so damn sick of this incompetent ass visa office and the numerous letter to delay processing.

I'd shoot them an email back and ask for clarification. They were pretty expedient with their responses to me yesterday, surprisingly. I'm getting pretty sick of it too. Absolutely ridiculous! Meanwhile, May applicants are getting DMs now. >:(
