I can't order GCMS notes cause my wife lives with me in Holland.
We just have to be patient :) this is hard sometimes.
Some folk from July and August where asked for additional documents back in Januari or Februari. I hope they have enough prove of intention, but it also makes me anxious...

You should be able to order your notes from Holland. I order our notes from the USA. All you have to do is submit $5 and a copy of a Canadian Passport to prove citizenship and a scanned signed copy of the authorization form to release the PA's information. You'll receive your notes in the email in 30 days.

BTW I usually order the notes as my husband (he is Canadian). This time around I ordered them with my name since I am visiting Canada. It went through no problems. I paid the $5 and didn't have to submit anything.

I still have "Application received". Not even "In process".
8 to 10 months from "Application received" or "SA"?

It's not unusual. Ours sat at "application received" for almost 14 months, even while they asked for additional documents. Once it changed to "in process" it was only about 4 weeks before it changed to "decision made." Many have had that "in process" stage last from 1 to 2 weeks or even less.

BeShoo I had seen you say you were going to post your story and why it took so long. Did you post it already? I was curious to know what documents they asked you for and why it took so long? Thanks for sharing. I am going through a hard time with Ottawa.

I still want to post my story, but I haven't had time to do it properly because I'm kind of working overtime at several jobs.

The main problem was that I was severely underemployed and trying to support two people at the time they asked for those documents and almost all of them cost money. I was behind on my mortgage, behind on my condo payments, behind on my hydro, and barely had money to eat. The expensive documents we had to send were: new FBI check ($50 for fingerprints + ~$10 to the FBI), new medical check ($280?), RPRF ($1040), and Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ, $269). When you're constantly broke and trying to live of $400 a month, that's a lot to come up with. It took from June until November to send everything.

I'm so sorry BeShoo!!!:( If we had documents requested of us right now, we'd be in the same boat. Barely eating atm, lmao. Proud of you for staying strong and getting through it!!!

Ignore my question on the other thread.. hahah just saw this reply next!

I am so sorry that was the case for you. We could be better, so I understand. My husband just lost his job but has been looking for a new one for months. Nothing's come up yet. :/

*hugs* hope everything gets better for you!!

Oh Leah! That's horrible. I'm so sorry:(( That must be so stressful. I will be thinking of you both and wishing you all the best. You are so strong! If you can get through all this immigration BS and the hardships it brings not being able to work in order to be together, etc, I really think you can get through anything <3

Yeah it's been hard enough as I've basically been visiting for almost 2 1/2 years. So I already can't work and now he's lost his job it makes it super stressful. Especially we might have to buy a round trip plane ticket in a few months if I get PR! I really can't wait to work so I can ease the financial stress. Although I can see a tough road ahead there since I'm in Quebec. :/
I agree, immigration is so stressful that if you can make it through that, you can fix any other marriage problems!

We are 13 months in "Application Rec'd" status...Everything done up front...no request for ANYTHING and case notes indicated the file has not been touched since Aug 2014 and next follow up, as per Case Notes, is not until July 2015....

Where are you seeing the follow up date? I see a "Due Date" under "eligibility".

Oh this sucks so much!.. I am so sorry it was so rough!.. But I am happy you finally have your COPR! ... Wishing you a smooth ride from here on out.

Your right is does say Due Date of July 2015...I also have due dates under Correspondence Incoming and Outgoing that were updated on the same date as the due date...I also have due dates under Payments that were not updated until a month after the due date, we paid upfront so I am thinking that is the payment allocation date..

You can always make an appointment to land or go to a border crossing if you want to get your landing papers but don't have the money to fly home and back right away. Just trying to help with some suggestions. I hope it all works out for you. I understand how stressful this all is.

My husband's work contract ends Sept 2015 and he goes part time then. Unless of course he finds another job. We were praying for all this to be over way before then but with Ottawa losing our papers it looks like we are in for a long long long wait.

I will pray your DM comes quick! .. Best of luck .

Not everyone has survived the process. I have heard of couples where the stress was just too much. I'm very happy that the outcome was positive and sometimes I can't really believe it happened after so long.

If something had happened wrong I'm not sure what I would have done. I can't live without him. Well, I suppose I could live, but I would be miserable. We actually haven't been apart a single night in more than 5 years now.
