PPR Received, passport copies sent, now where's my COPR??? I need to get a job!

You have no idea the sense of relief when that ppr has been received and you know you're just waiting for one last thing!

Congrats!

Oh how I can imagine! I swear I've had dreams that I got my PPR and I just applied in August so I have a while to go yet haha

No problem! Feel free to PM me with any updates in case I don't see them here and I'll update your info for you =)

I finally got my GCMS notes that I ordered last month. It's dated December 19, 2012 and thankfully my application was in fact transferred to Ottawa it seems. I haven't looked into it too much yet, but that's all I was really interested in.

That was definitely fast considering the Holidays and everything. I think I might order mine at the end of January just because I'm curious and have nothing better to do since I can't work here haha

And congrats Pigey! That's great news! =D

Did anyone ever receive any notification from Ottawa that they actually have your file? They initially received ours on Sept. 4, and we received a notification email and an email saying my spouse was approved as my sponsor within a 24-hour period on October 14 and 15.
I know ecas is not the best source of data, but it still has only "application received" with that original Sept. date. The only other thing it says is "medicals received."

Is no news good news, or should we be paranoid and make sure Ottawa even has it?

Thanks in advance, and congrats to all who have gotten their good news. :)

I was paranoid too and I e-mailed them asking if they needed any more information from us. Their response of "no" was confirmation enough for me!

what is GCMS ???

Global Case Management System. That's the computer system that CIC uses (replacing Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System - CAIPS). I understand it is also supposed to replace FOSS (Field Operations Support System) that was used for processing in-Canada paperwork. Hence the "global" part of it.

Thank you, sariss. I guess I'll try that..Hahaa.

I have not heard of anyone getting an AOR from Ottawa saying the file has been received there....they just don't seem to ever do acknowledgements from Ottawa. So you are not alone.
