I am already at more than 26 months wait. I never left the border the day I moved permanently more than 5 years and 2 months. and still waiting. This system is unfair. People who took the test after me are getting oath invites while I am still waiting. B.S if you ask me

Thank you Canada

Hi guys sorry to be a downer but i applied in may 2011, went out of the country a few times and informed cic. I got my rq in Feb 2014, sent it back in end of March 2014.

I am baffled as to why my application has taken this long. What should i do? Cic is not very helpful on the phone.

Thx
J

jaycrew I am new to here. can you give a brief how your application went from start to now. Are you a victim of RQ? how did you handle it. are your hurdles cleared and at final stage?

I really want to understand if a person gets pre test RQ what happens at test. is again a post test RQ issued or is there judge hearing. what happens in judge hearing do they sit in a room and verify each documents send in RQ together?

Well really not much to add from my previous post. Submitted application on may 2011, after having been resident exactly 1095 days (probably a mistake in hindsight) and heard absolutley nothing until Feb 2014 when i received an rq. Competley unfair in my opinion because if they were gonna rq me it could have easily been done earlier in the process.

Now all they tell me at cic is that you have to wait, or 36 months waiting for a non routine application is only applicable to 80% of applications, or you have to give cic time to review your rq, bla bla bla..

So basically i am 37 months now with no information on when i wil write the test.

Oh my, something came up and I have to go outside the county by end of July.

I am really hoping that my oath invite comes in soon. I will have to request for the 24 hour processing of the passport.

Are we not allowed to call CIC for any updates as to when the oath invite will come in?

I see someone took the exam on April 15th and got the oath taking invite on July 9 so I still have hope. I took the exam on April 16 so I really do hope the invite comes next week :-\

one general question anyone can reply please. every human nature is different so each officer also different some can give hard time some can be at ease. do you agree its all luck whose application gets processed fast either with or without RQ

Jay crew sorry to hear about your situation.
Citizenship for Edmontonians is really frustrating like betting on a lottery. They don't follow the rules of First In First Out or first come first serve. As if there seems to be a queue jumping, you never know when will be your turn.
Alberta has the slowest processing rate of granting citizenship, it's obvious these conservative hooligans wanted to control the number of new citizens , for they knew that these new Canadian will never vote for them and worried that will overcome the number of their registered red neck conservative voters !
conservative sucks!!!!
