If they sent out 50 invitations yesterday, Friday the 13th, we should check our e-status by Tuesday or Wednesday if we were included in the batch. I really need mine to be part of it :( I am going overseas by end of July.

Yesterday I received my citizenship oath letter to appear for oath on July 1, 2014. I wrote my citizenship test on April 30, 2014.

EdmontonForeverWaiting what is your status?

Edmonton408, congrats! That is a very good piece of news.

Is it also updated online on e-cas? I haven't received anything in the mail yet, neither is any update to my status online.

Yes, It got updated on e-cas as well on the same day I received the letter.

Hope you will get yours soon as well. I thought they would send letters to all who took their tests on April 30 to take oath on the same day.

I did not get RQ

Submitted application in April 2012
Received the study book in April 2013
March 2014, got a letter indicating my exam schedule of April 16 which I have completed.

As some that took the exam on the 30th are getting the oath taking schedule, I am trying to be optimistic that I should get mine this coming week. The judge even told me that my application was clear and straightforward with the dates and other info and should have no problem getting the oath taking schedule soon but makes me wonder where it is now knowing some that took it in April 30 already got the letter

Sorry for going off topic, but I thought it is of relevance to all of us.

While we are perpetually waiting for our test, oath, etc, let's not forget that the conservatives are trying to make us only second class citizens. Sign the petition against Bill C-24 if you are against it:

25 months to invite for the test!!! whereas in some offices who applied in Nov- Dec 2013 got already the Citizenship. This is unfair!

This is just so sad. I went to other threads about the timeline of other major cities and it is unacceptable how the Edmonton office is processing this so slow.
Oh I cannot wait for next year's polls.

For those that received the notice for oath taking, is there any particular day of the week you guys received it?

That is because there is only one citizenship judge for Edmonton including Northern AB and Northern territories :-(

Three people I know that took the exam on April 30 got their oath taking schedule on July 10. I still have not received mine and I took the exam two weeks earlier.

Is there any way we can find out what is the hold up or we really cannot do anything but wait? I just don't understand as my application, timelines etc are very straightforward so i do not know why mine hasnt come yet
