I'm trying to check on my application status and can't get through. I put in my Client ID (even tried husband's Client ID). And I've tried the Application number shown on his SA letter.

All I get is this:

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. ....... blah, blah, blah.

What am I doing wrong?

BTW -- I know the info is in there because when I went through Customs last week (and received a one year VR), he said I was in the system.

when did you get SA? If it's been less than 2 weeks, be patient. it can take time for the file to be entered into the system. you may not be doing anything "wrong".

Received SA on July 4th.

I use my UCI number (sponsor) and my husbands info (applicant) cuz we've not gotten one for him yet, but that's the only way it works for us! it doesn't ever update, but that's a different story!

when you first get to the site, what category are you checking the application for?

Sponsorship for spouse outside of Canada.

You are probably doing everything correctly. :D CIC probably hasn't updated your profile online yet. As suggested, patient is the game now.

You might be a bit early going into the game to be on the e-Cas. If I recalled, it usually takes about a month to be setup on e-Cas after the SA letter.

It's not login friendly. Double check this part below again when you are trying to enter the site.

If you are using Immigration file number / Application number. It should look something like this. F000225598. Make sure there are no spaces or dash in between when you are entering in the numbers. Do the same if you are using the client Id number / Unique client identifier. Don't leave any spaces in between the numbers. The UCI number should look like this 90835200 when you keying them in.

.... But the e-cas does accepts - ( hypen ) between UCI numbers. e.g. 9083-5200

Thank you. I did put in the correct numbers without dashes.
I'll wait another week or so and try again.

You are correct.
