Can you let me know if I someone newly diagnosed with cancer can apply for a short visiting visa to Canada to attend granddaughter's First Communion? Never been to Canada prior. What is the process ? Looking for just one month visit to attend this function and to spend time with son and daughter here ?
Thank you

While the visa application process would remain the same like for anyone else (proof of a genuine short visit + strong ties to the home country + adequate finances to pay for the visit).... what would matter most is being covered by insurance.... and this is highly unlikely.

In the eventuality of some hospitalization (or even tests) during the visit, treatment costs could quickly spiral with the possibility of even ending getting bankrupt
