I saw few comments from people that Visa office is requesting for PCC who ever travelled to Qatar even on tourist visa just for a month.

So thought of asking the experts regarding the same.

may be for gulf countries they have some exception but not sure.

but it is clearly mentioned in the instruction guide that PCC is only required if you stayed 6 or more months in a country.

one of my friends travelled to US on b1/b2 for 3 months and he did not submitted any PCC from US.

you should be good to go ...

adding on to that .... i also travelled to US last year on B1/B2 for 3 months and 19 days ... no PCC attached. however i stayed in UK for long time so i got the PCC from UK and attached it with my application.

That doesn't sound correct. For one simple reason, doesn't matter whether CIC requests for PCC from Qatar for 1 month stay on TRV, the PCC issuing authority in Qatar won't provide you with a PCC in the first place if you have not lived there for a period of 6 months or more.

Same goes for UAE.

countries such as qatar .. doesnt have electronic transmission of exit - entry of visitors - hence cic has to request for Pcc to complete security checks

No one will hand hold you ... you have to invest some time and energy.

go to www. cic. gc. ca

look out for instruction guide and document checklist, 90% of your queries will be answer there only. For rest 10% you can always browse the forum or ask members about any doubt you may have.
