Call to reschedule pick up for PR Card

Hi There! I really learnt a lot from this forum and also like to share my case and get advice from expertise .

1. I received notice letter to pick up my PR Card on earlier of May in Vancouver and since I am out-side of Canada and missed this appointment. I tried to call
CIC to reschdule but the agent said it will be automatically reschedule second appointment without call in.
Later I saw on some website that peoples are out-side of Toronto area must to call to reschedule for pick up appointment. So I am now little bit of confusing.
------------- my PR Card now is in Vacounver, should I call to reschdule or just waiting for second appointment letter ?

2. The notice letter which I received in April is red paper, and I saw here someone said her/his notice letter is blue one. does that mean my red paper of notice
indicate I am suspicious and will be under special check when I pick up my PR Card?

just know CIC now mail out PR card directly to applicant, wish you all are the lucky one

did someone here have the experience of rescheduling pick up date?

or what color was your notice letter from CIC ?
