My File # is still the same starts with B**. As for reply,there is no reply from NW. I even sent some general inquiries to NW on general inquiry email Id but no reply also.... it seems whole office is on strike...... If you can approach MP, then this is the only option I guess.

I have received an email from Ottawa to send my Passport. Presently I am living in Canada. Do I have to travel and return back to Canada once I receive CoPR and visa stamp on the passport. Please advice.

No matter how bad you may be feeling about the delay in the processing of your applications, on no account should you use such an unprintable adjective like s***id on anyone, particularly an institution. We have to believe them that CIC crew are working hard to get applications processed. We are just unfortunate to belong to the category that has less priority. Don't also forget that becoming a permanent resident is not a right...it is just a privilege.

Okay, I agree it is a privilege not right. My question to you is getting clear information about process our files is a privilege too? I need clear info and when they expect to process my file. Donot tell me that you can order "GCM" or what ever you called and solve the buzzle? Let me know your opinion

Did they ask you to pay RPRF? They did not ask me yet!

Hi yup i already paid RPRF but up to now we still didnt receive our PPR.. Ecas still no updates.. and my work permit will be expiring on Feb 2014 im not sure if we still need to apply for new work permit or wait until september for PPR...

hopefully everything would be ok

all political parties are showing interest in visitor visas and student visas
not any one interested to give focus on immigration visas

that's y we are not getting any reply from any consulate

they are working on student visa files and visitor visa files at slow pace
but they are not touching immigration files

I think you have enough time until FEB. For work permit extension you just need to apply no later than 30 day before the expiry date. I think we all will get PPR soon hopefully

I have a FSW application pending since January 2012 and I also have a CEC application at cpp-o recieved since april 2013. My fsw application just got decision made yesterday after doing my medicals, sending updated documents, paying rprf and had my ppr for the fsw application.

Do I contact cpp-o now to withdraw my CEC application or would the visa office automatically withdraw it since my FSW has got DM now.

Dear All,
I am new in this forum. I have been encouraged by many of the useful posts here on people's experiences and have just decided to sign up. Probably my experiences may also help someone. In my case, my spouse is the principal applicant. Timeline:
FSW 1
Visa Office Ottawa
application filed: June 2011
AOR: August 2011
Transferred to Buffalo: September 2011
Transfer to Ottawa: Not sure
Updated document request: July 22, 2013
Document sent: July 25, 2013

Sent a follow-up mail to ensure all documents were received and found out that though we received the automated response, some of them had not been received. We re-sent those that were not received and they acknowledged receipt. My advice is that even if you receive an automated response, wait a few days and send a follow-up email.

Though we applied under FSW1, we received request to send employment letter as well besides the Generic Application form, background declaration schedule 3, settlement funds etc. Fortunately my spouse is in a PhD program that requires him to do research in another organisation so he has what is called a co-op work permit. He sent a letter from that organisation. It is not a permanent job.

Waiting to hear from CIC.
Sorry if I have posted this more than once. I'm still learning how to navigate the system.
