Sorry! My understanding is the LOE for BOWP is just to provide any additional explanation for your BOWP and not your initial PR. Don't you think they will cross reference anyway because we will provide the AOR? I mean if my give the LOE same as the that for my PR, I will have to attach all the other documents too and I am thinking this is redundant. What do you think?

Agree. What I'm saying is that make sure everything in your LOE for BOWP is the same (to the extent that it was included in your LOE for PR). You are right, you don't have to mention every single thing you talked about in your LOE for PR. Here are some things I'm including:

1) Full Work History as in the Form IMM5710, they only give you 3 spaces to complete 'Work History'
2) Copy of Working Permit
3) Copy of language results
4) Copy of current employment contract

Will let you know if I think of anything else. Another thing, are you printing out form IMM5710 and signing it? Or are you just going to upload with electronic signature?

I don't know if we need it or not. My justification for including is that there is a question in 'IMM5710' that asks if we have done a language test. Hence I decided to include it in my application.

Hi @TECC_Seneca, I put that I am on an 'Open Work Permit' due to expire on 26 June 2016, and I put the details of my current employment. I then supplemented this in my LOE by saying I was providing a copy of my signed Employment Contract.

Hi, yes that's what I had as well. Another question; did you use the same Medicals as the one you used for your PR application?

I did as even though my Medicals are more than 6 months old (by 4 days), Work Permit applications are typically processed faster than PR applications. Is this what you are doing?

Yes submitted about half an hour ago. Make sure you check everything (especially LOE) to make sure it makes sense. Reading it twice or thrice make sure everything makes sense.

No point in taking any chances.

I was on study permit till 31st March, 2016. Before my status expired I applied online for open work permit or may be called BOWP. So now I am on implied status.
I was gone through a series of questions and gave all the information. I was asked did I submit an application for permanent residence of Canada and I clicked yes.

Then it said, "You may be eligible to work in Canada with an open work permit".

Then I continued my application, paid the fee and got application number starting with W.......

I was doubtful that BOWP can not be applied from study permit, still doubtful to some extent. But everything gone smooth with this application. Now lets see what happens. Even if I do not get approved, will get another 3 months of restoration. If get approved that will be fantastic. My timeline is as below.

ITA: Jan 6
AOR: Feb 3
BOWP Application: Feb 13

No update so far on both applications. FSW and BOWP.

What you applied is an Open work permit and not Brdiging open work permit.
