BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi Guys,

I need your help here.

My current PGWP ends in end of July. Technically, I can only apply for BOWP at end of March to fall in one of the requirements which is WP expiring within 4 months.

My question is: can I apply now? Based on the processing time, it will be definitely within 4-month expiry when VO can start reviewing my application. Or do I have to start applying until end of March?

The urgent need of doing this is that I need to apply for my wife's SOWP. without BOWP, I cannot apply for her.

Please share some insights,

You mean I don't need to wait until my BOWP issued to apply for my wife's OWP? I can apply both at the same time?

Yes you can; the 'Come to Canada' questionnaire presents you with the relevant questions to end up with an application package for the pair of you.

Also, while I wait for BOWP it is ok to continue working in Canada correct?

its not a problem until u have recipts of posted date and fee paid date.. u can work also during this waiting..

Received online approval on March 14th, 2015.

Checked mail today and received the hard copy.

congrats! you're only a week advance since i applied.

just want to ask did you ever receive an email update for online approval on Mar 14th? id usually receive, email notices, but upon checking, there's always none.

try to apply for the BOWP online, it's faster than paper based app.
First use the come to Canada tool (in CIC website) and get the unique code. Then login to your my CIC account and click on the visitor visa , study and/or work tab and enter the code. Then the system takes you from there.
