As i understood, the vote is not about the amendment, it is about whether to move Sen. Lang motion for adjourning the debate in his name or continuing the debate
correct me if i'm wrong !!!!!

Only 28 in favour. The amendment will fail.
 
Amendment was defeated and as expected they adjourned until tomorrow.

The 3rd reading of the bill has not yet happened. I'm not sure if there is another motion to amend. However, we are closer than we were before to the bill going back to HoC. If today's amendment was not defeated, the bill would have been in jeopardy at HoC. So, this is good news. Tomorrow we may know what's what.
 
The amendment is not really a big deal to the bill itself I guess?
