Hi @legalfalcon thanks for all the work you do here!

My background check says: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." the so called, IP2 but my medicals were only deemed passed yesterday. Is this a sign of the R10 check? or is this just the new norm?

In most cases the R10 check is passed around the same time as the medicals are passed. The IP, IP1 etc is all speculation based on you MyCIC status and I do not go by it as they have no bearing on what stage your application is.

All applications go through the following:

R10
Medicals
Criminality
Eligibility
Security

To read on the stages of an EE application see https://bit.ly/2QNqlSZ

It’s for a friend, Yes it was schedule A.

If IRCC asked for a Sec A and if there is no option to upload it in your MyCIC account then send it via webform.

Hi.
I received my ITA on 6th of August. AOR -2nd August.

I am in a process of getting all my documents ready for my pr. One of the biggest concern is proof of funds for me. I completed my master's degree from Canada and now I am working for a CPG company. Since I recently started, I don't have enough funds so I am asking my brother to lend me money as a gift deed for my proof of funds. My brother has his pr and lives in Toronto. Q1)Can my brother e transfer me the money or should it only be through a medium of cheque? Plus I am little concern regarding showing my current salary also as a partial proof of funds because my job is does not count as valid job as my employer does not offer LMIA. Q2) Can I still show my salary till now as a partial proof of funds?

You mean ITA on 02 August and AOR on 06 August.

If you are living in Canada and you are employed, you are exempt from PoF. You can submit a LoE that since you are employed in canada, you are exempt.

Hello @legalfalcon

I will really appreciate your insight on this. I submitted my application on the 27th of August, AOR on the same day. For some reason, I could not find the letter of explanation I attached on the list of documents submitted. I am very certain I uploaded it, but its just not there. The LOE is very vital to my application. I have however raised a web-form, attached it and resent it to them.

Is this okay? Just trying not to worry about this.

This is a known glitch. Try logging in your account after clearing the cache or in incognito mode, then you will be able to see the section where you uploaded the LoE.
