That’s not entirely true. When my hubby’s MP contacted my visa office in Accra Ghana, she was told I wasn’t a priority especially since our application just completed 12 months then. Her personal assistant still hasn’t been able to bring his wife from India to Canada due to the Covid-19 impact on immigration. He’s supposed to be calling Accra VO on update on my application. I stopped getting my hopes high on my hubby’s MP when I knew her assistant is in similar situation. So it doesn’t function that way. It took 8 months after medical before I got another update and 2 months after our deadline to get DM. You never can tell you may get an update very soon.

What I am trying to say is that if the MP is good and diligent they will be able to help you if they want to. Unfortunately, my MP is not helpful too they just asked me to wait, while four other fellow countrymen of mine with the same MP (they lived in the same neighborhood), ask help from MP got all approved just recently.

If youre MP is not helpful then wait for CPC-M that never moves an inch.

We received emails plus updates in CIC & ECAS. We’re currently just waiting for his PR card to show up. Good luck I hope it goes quickly for you as well

The sad part is I can't even go home because my passport expired and the Philippine embassy is in Toronto with no missions currently scheduled to MB

You mean the consulate in Toronto isn't working? The embassy is in Ottawa, they are working there, call them to see your options to renew your passport.

Good day everyone, it’s going to be 1 month on Thursday that the VFS office in Lagos has my passport. No word from them, neither is their 1 available mobile line accessible. Their web chat is also unavailable meanwhile my tracking shows my passport is available for pickup. How is it they claim to render world class services
if you can’t reach them on the phone? You send a mail and they tell you they’ll respond in 2 business days and they never responded to the last one I sent.
Please is there anyone who recently got his/her passport from Lagos VFS, please communicate with me. Let me know how to go about this. It’s getting frustrating.

My husband received his PR card on Tuesday. The process is officially over. It’s been quite the ride and I am so glad it’s over lol. Good luck to everyone still waiting and I’m sending all my positive vibes your way.

Outland Quebec... CPC-M visa office. I'm August 6th applicant and still waiting for both pre-arrival and DM. Although I did get a ghost update over the weekend. But that might've been because my medical expired. So frustrating.
