Same here. App received Aug 13th and biometrics paid upfront. Also applied from the UK.
I guess (but I hope not) it will be another month of wait!

Hey folks, just joined up to this forum. I submitted my application in August and it was delivered on August 21st. On September 7th I got an email asking to pay my biometric fees. Couple of questions:
1) I paid this and submitted as per instructions to the IRCC enquiries, when should I expect a reply?
2) I can't link my account, only got an application number, do I just continue the expected waiting game for my AOR?

Mine was received 30th of Aug. I should be the last one to get DM on this forum .
we paid everything upfront, hoping that it could help to speed up the process. As in your case, it seems they check for the money first and then move to check if the documents are complete!
I try almost everyday but still could not link my application. Another guy also said he was asked to pay for Biometric about 10 days after the application received but was unable to link it to his account. So I guess it is normal for us to wait for another 20 or 30 days.

I have heard that you should be able to link your application once they start working on it. Are your sure you are entering all the features right?

yes I have tried multiple times with different methids. nothing yet. May be we can link once we have UCI or AOR. or may be not. i am not sure.

I guess you're right, we should still wait. And seems even they open up our packages that does not mean they have started the processing.
At least you know your application has been entered their system!

Absolutely.... I don't understand why the sponsorship process can't be as transparent and simple as express entry. In comparison sponsorship process seems shrouded in mystery !

I called up IRCC today and I was informed that they are still working on the applications received on 17th July 2018. Have to wait couple of weeks more to receive any kind of response. Yeah. That's what someone I know was also told earlier this week. I'm hoping for a good news soon. I'll keep you all posted.

Are you able to link your file number to CIC account... If so I assume no need to wait that would be your AOR.
