Normally, there was an in-person interview for every case before the pandemic. My friends who got pr before the pandemic went for the interview.
When I contacted my MP, I got the same response.

"If the application is approved, the officer will send you and approval letter to you. This letter is to advise you that you will be contacted by the local office with an appointment for the final determination interview (to grant permanent resident status)."

However, other applicants whose case was sent to the Etobicoke office did not have interview before they get pr... So I'm just worried why my case is so special for them...... sigh...

By any chance, do you know what "final determination interview" look like..? Is there a possibility to get refusal after this..? I have no idea what our case's problem is so I have no idea what they are going to ask about.. so frustrating ;(

What I read is that they ask basic questions like date and place of birth, date of marriage, etc. Basically they'll be doing everything in person again, instead of doing it in that PR confirmation portal.

I think you are fine, just enjoy that you're getting there :)

Congrats .....time line after they transfer local office...my file transfer in march 2021 then they ask add proof relation ...submit 27may ..after still silent..kindly share your time line local office thanks

Nope. Just a call asking for my address, and the officer said my application was good to go..And on that day my ECAS status had changed to DM both sides.

Congrats!! it's unbelievable that it took 10 months to get DM after AIP..........
