Same thing happened to me. Got rejected ridiculously since they said I don't have a master degree!! After I sent them emails and reminded that I had already submitted official certificate of my master degree, they changed their mind on May 1st, 2012. After that, endless waiting.......Now I am worrying about how they assess my work XP in China. Btw, what is a GCMS note?

Mine is over 14 month still waiting. They even made a mistake and delayed my case for at least 3 month.

Did you mean May 1st 2013 or 2012? You applied 2 weeks after me. Did your E-cas change to "IN PROCESS" or it is still "decision made"?. Order your CAIPS to see what is going on your application. It is free if you apply under privacy act, and it takes about a month to get it.

They got my application in March, 2012 and rejected me very soon. My E-cas is IN PROCESS.

jacson2209, did you finally get PER from Sydney? You said that they changed their mind, does that mean they reverted NER to PER after you told them you had a Master's degree?

Thanks. Do people send supplementary letters by mail or e-mail?

Most of them sent by email, but make sure that they attached it to your application by sending another email after a week.

Yes. Then I wrote to their Inquiry email address and they changed their mind. I even didn't got the PER letter until they forwarded me one on July.17, 2012 (I was approved on May.1, 2012). BTW, where can I obtain a free CAIPS? It is very expensive on http://www.caips.ca/

I see. You got your PER on July 17. Then, you will most probably hear from Ottawa around that time.

No. I think I got PER on May.1 because the email they forwarded to me was on that day. They wrote "Below please find a copy of the assessment letter that was emailed on 1 May 2012". That's why I think I should get some news recently.

Thank you very much for your help, aidina .

Okay. That is unfortunate. However, your case is more or less similar to mine. Mine have been delayed around 3 month now, and still no news. Good point is that I could prove them their mistake. Bad side is that, I submitted another application and paid 1100 for that :(.

Good luck. I plan to submit another application for CEC if I still don't get an update in the next few months. Then I have to take ielts again since CEC requires 6 6 6 6. My friend tells me the language requirement for CEC changes. Now if one of the items is below 6, we can't use other items to make up even above 7. Unfortunately, my oral score is 5.5 :'(

Good for you man. You just applied 2 weeks prior to me, and almost got your visa. I am still waiting to see what they need to process my application further. That is ridiculous. CONGRAT!

Order GCMS notes (using the link posted by aidina) right now. It's free if you are in Canada, and you can complete the online form in like 2 minutes. I would say that they have probably done assessment. Some applicants heard something back two or three weeks after assessment was done by Ottawa for some reasons.

Also, for CEC, you will most likely have to have gained your work experience using PGWP. Work experience while studying full-time does not count anymore for CEC, so it's something to keep in mind.

Thanks asbereth. Things change so much! Last year my friend got his PR through CEC with TA/RA XP in less than one year......
