It is frustrating indeed. When you wait for something, it does not happen! Yes, I have noticed it as well. They seem taking a short brake when they reach to the mid of each month before proceeding to the next half. We should hear from them soon, really soon. I wish I had applied at least 1 day sooner because I had everything ready at least 1 month sooner than the date I mailed them my applications . BTW, what happens to damn Ottawa, I am the next. Stay tuned . I hope this gap is not going to be 1 month as was the case for Feb. applicants.

I have applied under this PHD stream category and I received my file number from CIO on 29 May 2012. I received a document request from Ottawa-cpp on February 5, 2013 which asked a new police certificate and my CV. I mailed the documents to them on February 8, 2013 and haven't received anything back from them yet. I am wondering that they have started processing my documents and assessment of my points or not? Actually, when I check the online status it mention that we have received your file on may15, 2012 (and nothing else!).
By the way, a funny thing which I saw is that I changed my mailing address a few month a go and emailed them to update it and they did it. But, after a problem on their online system, again I see my out dated and old mailing address in the online system! Should I email them again my current mailing address? Do they send medical forms by email or post?

They correspond through e-mail If you provided them with yours already. You can order your CAIPS to see what is going on your file.

I can't tell for sure, but you probably passed selection factor assessment already (67 points), and your file is awaiting further processing since your due date is still much later (some February applicants got document requests about the same time as you did, and they have heard something by now, but your due date is much later than theirs, so most likely your application is still awaiting further processing). Order your CAIPS to see whether you have indeed been assessed by visa officer, and only awaiting further assessment for eligibility.

Have you ever ordered CAIPS ever since the first batch of May applicants heard something back from Ottawa? I wonder if they have evaluated your file, and found your POF to be satisfactory, so they didn't send anything (but they could not send you MR just yet, since they're still slowly progressing towards mid and late March applications; note that none of the May and June applicants have gotten MR yet, despite getting document request much earlier than some January and February applicants).

Fill out the IMM 5563 form. It's free under one of the acts (I think it's Privacy Act), and it will only take like 10 minutes of your time (you need to scan your Canadian driver's license or your study permit to be eligible under Privacy Act). Good luck

No I have never ordered CAIPS and can't really be bothered to be honest. I hope you are correct with your theory. I think I will just wait until a little after my due date and see what happens. I don't think I will find anything that will change my situation from CAIPS before then!

Yes. It usually takes around a month to get it. The last time, I received it in about 20 days.

Better to apply for renew. Domestic tuition fee is due to the provincial (i.e ontario) law. Beyond this we need to have legal status to be here
