I just checked the website. I think there is a technical glitch.

After I put my client number into the system, it says "in process". After I clicked that, it says we received your application for permanent residence on Dec 28,2011.

Do you think I need to call them as soon as possible? Maybe scanned POF is fine to them? Thanks.

As TyrusX said, you are still under assessment, but it is not a bad idea to send them the hard copy of your POF. Anyway, they do not confirm receiving the documents usually! If they you were late in sending the POF, they would ask you to send them before the deadline. So I assume they received them.

Hi asbereth and N_O,

Thanks a lot!!!!
Money and number of points are not problems now. I have fairly enough money in my account and I did not move them in a large amount at all. Besides, I got a PDF position now, so I have income. I have already email them the scanned job offer to them.

Two days ago, I checked my eCas, it said as the following, and I do not have a second line at all....
IN Process>>>>>>>>>
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<We received your Application on xxxxxxxxxx

When I want to check it today, it says the connection is not trusted. I will try it later.

Anyway, how to order CAIPS notes? How long does it take? Before I send out the POF by mail, I will call them first. Because I remember they do not like to receive duplicate info. I will call them tomorrow morning. They took today off, I think.

Most likely you have passed the selection factor (since they most likely have considered your PhD and grant you the 5 adaptability points), but POF is another thing that they consider when they're evaluating eligibility, so before you can pass eligibility, you need to have enough number of points AND enough money for settlement funds.

The second line on eCas usually indicates the day you pass eligibility, and for a lot of people in our stream, they get medical usually one day after the day indicated on eCas. Some people (Shomo is one example) passed eligibility, but they haven't received medical yet as the process got stuck in criminality check. Check the following link for more information on eCas status

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/step-by-step-processing-of-fsw-application-by-cio-and-vo-t137628.0.html

Did you have enough money for the past six months, and what POF did you send them? Any unexplainable large deposits within the last 6 months? What is the condition of your bank account when you sent them the statements?

Anyway, I think now is the time to order your CAIPS notes. It would be interesting to see the movements within your application.

I honestly don't think there is any reason to think that there is any problem with the scanned POF (since it is acceptable to submit copies of POF as per the new checklist), but I still think it's not a bad idea to send them the actual POF through regular mail, while waiting for their response.

Thanks a lot for confirming that for me. Thanks, man.

I noticed that my info is in the tracker now. But I am the only applicant in the process. Can anyone change it for me? Thanks.

Once they started processing it , you'll get the second line. Most of us didn't notice it until they got the medical request. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the second line until I got the rejection email, which was in the same day they posted it!

This is my eCAS:
<<<<<
We received your application for permanent residence on February 20, 2012

We started processing your application on March 8, 2013

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.>>>>>

As I didn't meet the requirements of work experience, so no more assessment is needed and the application was refused in the same day they started processing it!
Others who met all the requirements including work experience and POF got a medical request after the processing date. In other words, you have not reached this stage yet, they didn't start processing your application. May be because you got your PER was late, they may start it after one year of the PER roughly.

Hopefully, they will start processing it in 2 weeks at maximum!

Good luck

Thanks a lot, man. Good luck on your future. I think you should reapply for it.

aidina,

It is pretty nerve-wrecking, waiting for your doc request or med request. My spouse and I notice a pattern where CIC folks would chug along with processing and stop short of applicants after 15th of the month. I really hope I am wrong as I too am after 15 but a month after yours.

Fill application IMM5563E, make sure to select Privacy Act under which you are submitting your request, it is free. It takes 35 days!
Make sure you include a proof of residency in Canada; I submitted the study permit and the driving license, you may add a phone or electricity bill.

This seems to be the case. It's crazy, but pass2012, who applied on the 15th of February heard back from Ottawa late January, whereas I just heard back from them roughly a month later. Same with rgb, otacon, dj2009, lamarck and AST. All heard way before me, and some got medical request 2 months before me, despite the fact that I was only later than them by like 3 or 4 days!!!

I have a friend who works in CIC Ottawa. She says they are kind of off for the next month and then the summer starts. I remember CIC was so slow last summer. These two confirm that we will see a period of silence in the next months.

It is frustrating indeed. When you wait for something, it does not happen! Yes, I have noticed it as well. They seem taking a short brake when they reach to the mid of each month before proceeding to the next half. We should hear from them soon, really soon. I wish I had applied at least 1 day sooner because I had everything ready at least 1 month sooner than the date I mailed them my applications :(. BTW, what happens to damn Ottawa, I am the next. Stay tuned :). I hope this gap is not going to be 1 month as was the case for Feb. applicants.
