No sign of movement in my E-Cas yet.

My GCMS notes came today, after only 21 days.
Eligibility: Passed:
Criminality: Passed Validity Date: 2015/01/20 (List all my 3 police certificates + RCMP sceening) (I think it was there on last one)
Medical: In Progress (Received) (No Notes added to it yet. So I don't know the results, I requested GCMS Notes too early on IMHO)

Activity 5: SELECTION: PASSED

Notes 2: 4 years of work experience. However, they did not accept a period of 1.1 years to which I was doing the same job, but was hired as a contractor instead of as a registered employee. Same leading statement than the other one which was accepted. Interesting, I think I didn't present them with enough information. This shows the importance of providing them with contracts and other information, only reference letter is not enough.

NO ADAPTABILITY POINTS: I think we can give up getting those points now.

No much changes in the end. Only 2 or 3 pages longer than the first one I got in November.

Is there anyone here who got accepted by just TA and RA without giving them the contract?

I don't know. I think it is possible.

Contract would make everything more complicated. It shows no working hours for RA, and it shows bursary instead of RA for some universities.

Did we really need to provide them with the contract of our RA/TA?

If it is easily available, why not?

Also, I'm out of here today. Going to Brazil. May still check the forum for an hour.

Enjoy your trip. Maybe its what you need to stay away from the anxiety of waiting...

I don't think contract is necessary. I showed HR letter for TA (which was almost useless since it did not have job descriptions), and reference letter for RA/TA from supervisor or department head (this contained everything they asked for on the checklist). Maybe others who applied using only TA/RA can comment as well.

I was not talking of RA/TA but all other jobs that are close to "real employment", as it was the case for my job that was not accepted, even though it was exactly the same statements as the one that was, and was indeed the same job. Doesn't matter, i still got 4 years of work experience and 72 points, even without adaptability.

I think it's not that they did not accept your other work experience, but just the fact that you maxed out the work experience points by the 4 years of work experience already, and that there would be no need for them to evaluate further the 1.1 year work experience further since it would not make any difference in eligibility.

Otherwise, I really think that job descriptions matter the most, and then the number of hours, and if they accepted the four year work experience, with the exact same leading statement and job duties as the 1.1 year one, then they would have accepted the 1.1 year work experience as well.

LOL. No, they wrote, "I can't accept this year of work experience" in the notes. But it doesn't mater, like you said, I maxed the points already, I was just surprised, Imagine if I applied with only that year, I would be rejected! I will send it to you later, I have to go now. Bye guys, take care!

Ya, dude, we chat later. Have a good trip, and I hope you'll get your PPR soon. Keep checking your eCas :D !!!

Guys, I was finally rejected for the reason you all know. That is unfortunate as I had other work experience from my home country that I did not claim. I did not take it seriously. Apparently, they do not consider the reference letters sent after the application date even I was told by the CIC call centre that they would consider it. I will probably prepare a new one even I am not sure if I would stay in Canada or not. I will be finishing my study in 1 year.
