Thanks ASG and hamed_hamed_hamed.
I agree with you that its better to just change the main and the second NOC, so RA would be my main work experience and my current main job letter would be my secondary work experience. What do you think?
By the way, do you guys think that if I ask my company to change the duration of my work in my work experience letter, then CIC would compare my previous letter with the new letter? I am asking because I could check my application status online, so maybe CIC keep the record of my previous application.
Thanks
I'm not sure if this is misinterpretation, though it's a risky move and the consequence could be so harsh that is not worth it.

Hi All,

I completed the landing formalities at the Fort Erie, Peace Bridge office on the 21st. As mentioned earlier, Stuck in Quebec and myself landed the same day The officer was OK and wanted to know if RA counted as 'work experience'. It was hard to say if she really meant it or was just re-confirming with me that I had worked as an RA/TA all along. In hindsight, I feel it was the latter. Perhaps I would give the border agent some slack as she was nearing the end of her shift and had just processed an inadmissibility case before I stepped in.

I was asked if I had any criminal convictions/asked to leave Canada and had any good to follow (the standard questions and the answer to all of them were 'No'). After this, I was asked to put my initials on the CPR and sign on the appropriate place.

I advise people who are planning to land soon to carry a proof of address as this was the first document the agent asked me.

Thanks again to all members for your help and kind words. I would try and visit the forum as frequently as I can to help anyone in need.

Have a good day everyone !

You mean they set another due date for you? Did you get a new GCMS to check it?

Hi all, I have a question please. My work experience is from my country. Though continuous, I worked part time with the organization at first and later changed to full time. I worked for 2 years in total, 14 months part-time and 10 months full-time. My hours from both periods combined is above that which is required. Do you know if I can apply using this work experience. I know even with the best of documents, pple still get rejected. But what I want to know is if my work experience meets up with the official cic minimum requirements. Thanks.

Guys! IELTS wants prove that I have applied to CIC in order to provide me with 2 results sheets. How could I provide proof while I have not applied yet? Or you could apply before sending in your IELTS certificate, and sending it later? if so, how long after??????????

I took a copy of the lease agreement for my apartment as I do not own an Ontario license. Other permissible documents could be

a. Drivers License
b. Bank Statements
c. Pay Stubs (assuming these are mailed to your home address)
d. Notice of Assessment from CRA
e. T4, T4A's

You do not meet the minimum requirement of one year of continuous full time employment. Part time experience (14 months) cannot be combined with full time work (10 months) to show a continuous block of work experience that exceeds one year (24 months in your case).

I think it's possible. In fact, a lot of us with only TA/RA experience have probably not shown any continuous full-time experience as well, and we got our PR just fine. I had variable hours, and in none of the weeks I claimed was full-time. My work experience was accepted, and I got my PR. Equivalent in part-time work experience is accepted, whether to satisfy the minimum continuous of one year work experience, or to satisfy the selection factor :)

(2) A foreign national is a skilled worker if

(a) within the 10 years before the date on which their application for a permanent resident visa is made, they have accumulated, over a continuous period, at least one year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, in the occupation identified by the foreign national in their application as their primary occupation, other than a restricted occupation, that is listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix;
