Same here, I got updated CIC (no clue what) and an email saying my application has ben updated. However, I have submitted CSE last week with my updated passport, so it might be it, but I'm hoping for the best

That is not for CSE. For CSE you will get an email starting with "question" and it would say that your document has been attached to the file.

This was probably some other update. Changes might reflect after a day or two.

Background went to "In Progress" today. Did not receive any email though. At least they are working on the application. Six months and 20 days since AOR.

So just 20 left in Sep. Seems like CIC completed 80% of the cases in 6 months.

Just called the CIC. The agent told me that my file was verified by OV yesterday. This should be the reason why there was a "updated" in my cic account. And the OV noted that they are satisfied with the documents for the requirements, The agent said a positive decision should be coming even though the final decision has not reached yet. The agent told me it is a good news. I am just waiting for my PPR now.

I wish that your PPR comes soon. I have been waiting too, and it is so frustrating. I believe you got a good agent on the line, whenever I have called in the past, its the same response that the file in under review. Keep us posted.
