In 99 percent of cases the RPRF is requested after the initial review of the application is completed; however, I remember reading 2 cases in which RPRF was requested in the last stage of the process and the PPR was issued for those applicants just 2-3 days after paying the RPRF. You should probably not worry as your BG went in process and the agent or visa office dealing with your file will request for RPRF sooner or later.
This is indeed encouraging!!!

Yes I have, will get back to you on April 28th when GCMS notes are ready..

Thank you so much for your advise.
Don't worry and don't panic. Your application is going well and every stage that is reached, its a progress in itself. You never know you may just receive the RPRF and the PPR within a few days.

All the best and keep us posted.

Good information and accurate. However if your BGC had actually started or is just falsely being reflected can only be confirmed through your notes. Most applicants see their BGC go from In progress to not needed at this time too. So I will not speculate but can only comment based on the notes. What @just400 says is also right and maybe you could be one of those lucky ones.
Will update you guys once notes are ready!!!

I am eagerly waiting for all of you get the PPR so that we can say goodbye to this thread for ever, and I can be done with maintaining the list. It a pain and I wonder how @BigKhalid and @Iceage did it.

May the Immigration gods bless the remaining September applicants.

So you observed. No, I am still waiting for my PP to be returned with the visa and COPR. But I am more optimistic than ever, not only for me, but everyone here, especially my buddies from September. If all goes well, I will be landing in the first week of May and by then, most of you should have your PPRs too.

:D

I am not sure why you feel that your application will be rejected. The rule of thumb is that more time has lapsed the less chances of rejection.

Yes, you can apply for FSW and PNP with two different applications. However, both your applications will be pretty much the same. If there is an ambiguity then you many get in trouble with misrepresentation and can be barred from applying for next 5 years.

Have you ordered GCMS notes. On what basis are you saying that your application might be rejected.
Thank you for your advise Legalfalcon.
I have a masters student category provincial nominee certificate. I was thinking it can be a good back up if some adverse result come out of this application.
I understand the point that there is a less chance of rejections, but people got rejected for an information that they did not even provided. e.g. someone got rejected because his representation in military, but that guy never served in the military.
Although, the provincial nominee application take 17 months, I was thinking its a good backup.

I don't know where you are getting all this information from. If you have read my analysis on the anatomy of an application, most applications get rejected at the R.10, completeness stage. Then some more at the Eligibility stage and after that there are very few who get rejected. Usually the R.10 happens within the first 2 months and the Eligibility is cleared within the first 5. Unless you have a criminal and security issues, you will get the PPR.

Now with regard to the military service, who ever told you he was rejected because of his military record is absolutely wrong. I got a request from CIC to furnish my military record within 7 days, even when I had never served in the military in any capacity. I wrote a letter back to them giving the times of what I was doing when. My GCMS notes indicate that the agent was satisfied that I had never served in the military and the application progressed. When I was in school, then college, the law school, then a job, where in the world did I have time for military. However, if you lie and try and hide something, they will figure it out.

A this stage I just feel that it would be counter-intuitive to file another application. Your application has been in for a while and you should instead concentrate on getting GCMS notes if you have concerns, rather than working on another application. If there is any disparity in your two applications, you are inviting trouble.

But, its your application and your decision ultimately.
