Anyone got PPR who applied with 50 additional point + ICT + CEC Inland

Hi All,

I have received AoR on 16th May 2017 but since then there is no communication.
Can anyone please explain as to How much time does it normally take to get response or updates after AoR?
Also while uploading the documents I didn't see option for uploading the work permit so I didn't upload my work permit (Closed WP).
Would that be the reason of delay processing ?

AOR Mar-7
Medical passed : 27th Mar
Background check : IP - 27th Mar
no changes after 27th Mar.
Got my PPR on Jun 21.

I got my PR finally. Landed to Canada on 9th June 2017. There was lot of confusion whether to claim 50 additional points as my employer was not issuing offer letter specifying I will have job for 1 year after getting PR. I took the risk and claimed additional 50 points. Here are the alternate document which I had used to prove my offer.

1. Offer letter issued during work permit extension.
2. Employment reference letter (My employer issued Employment reference letter for my Parent Visa application. I attached the same with the application).
3. Initial offer letter which I had received in my home country.
4. Appointment letter which I had received in my home country.
5. Secondment letter.

I hope this will be useful to all aspiring candidates under CEC.

My time lines

1. EP created 16th Feb 2016 under CEC.
2. Got ITA 22nd Dec 2016
3. AOR 23 Jan 2017
4. PPR 22 April 2017

Hi , I have been working for same employer from 3 and half year with closed work permit. My current work permit expires on Aug 2017 . I got an extension till 25 Jan 2018. Will i be able to get 50 Points. Please help

I entered Canada in Nov 2016 on work permit, ICT. My current CRS score is 379 and I was wondering if I can claim 50 additional points for a valid job offer letter from my current employer. I have not completed my 1 year in Canada yet and my work permit is valid until May 2018. I'm applying under Federal Skilled Worker rather than experience class under EE.

Can someone please advise?

You have wait as no one can say when PR application status will change. My 2 friends are also in same status since more then 2 months.

Also , no need to worry about your WP submission as it is not required.

Yes , you are 100% eligible for taking 50 additional point. I was also having same situation when I applied for my PR

As you have not completed 1 year in Canada so you cannot claim for 50 additional points. You have to wait until you are not completing 1 year in Canada.

Also , as per my knowledge you can claim for 50 additional point in Nov 2017 and no need to worry about your current WP which in not valid for next 1 year from when you are applying.

I have seen some people in this same thread whose WP was not valid for 1 year from the day when they applied for PR but still they got the PR.
I would suggest upon completion of 1 year in Canada you should apply for PR ASAP.

also another question,, how did u obtain ur 50 points for arrange employment? do u have LMIA?
i am in Canada and i work in Canada but i got 0 in my arrange employment?

If you are in Canada since more then a year and if you have valid closed WP then you can claim for additional 50 points.

One more important thing , your WP should have to be valid for next 1 year from the day you applied for PR . Moreover , this point is debatable as I have seen some folks in this same group who got PR without having valid 1 year closed WP.

WP need not be valid for 1 more year. Only a letter from employer is required that you will continue to be employed by them for 1 year after getting PR.

There are many ICT people who claimed 50 points and got PR without having 1 more year left on their WP.

I have been reading this great thread and got a lot of hope with your good experiences and the way you help each other. In my case, i am also ICT Closed work permit, have been working in Toronto for more than 2 years, have been transferred from my country keeping the years of service, so in papers i have been working with the company from 1995. HR gave me a confirmation of employment letter that states i have a PERMANENT, FULL-TIME position, and the document includes the position, salary, hours per week, benefits, starting date, job duties and contact info of HR officer.
They rejected to include a statement saying "at least 1 year after got the PR", as they claim that is unnecessary in my case, because of being permanent.
As you can figure out, i have not too much CRS points in age category, so without job offer my CRS is 372. If i include the job offer, it would be 422 crs, but anyway that would not be enough to get an ITA. My expectations are to get a NOI from the Ontario Province, Human Capital stream, as the minimum crs for that is 400 crs.
My questions:
1. Is my confirmation of employment letter from HR stating my status of PERMANENT and FULL-TIME, good enough to claim 50 points? (My WP expires on May 2018, but i got a letter from HR where they confirm that they will renew it for me)
2. Has anyone of you deal with the job offer requirements for OINP Human Capital stream?
