Dear Bangladeshi Forum Members:

I am residing in Canada and recently have got Alberta Immigration Nominee program certificate and intending to apply for my PR soon. I have already filled all the form and collected all the document require to apply for PR. But I am only in confusion about my national id card.

Bangladeshi national id contain partial information in both Bengali and English language and rest some of the information only in Bengali. Under this circumstances I am wondering will I have to submit a translation of the national id card and if so is that possible to translate it by myself and notarized the document or it should be done by a certified translator. For information the national id card contain the information in the following format in Bengali and English language:

Front Side:

Name in Bengali:

Name in English:

Father's name in Bengali:

Mother's name in Bengali:

Date of Birth in English:

ID No. in English:

Back Side:

Address in Bengali:

Blood Group in both Bengali and in English:

Date of issue in Bengali:

If you can let me know what should I do in this regard (Whether I can submit the existing card without translation or if translation require whether it is possible to do by me or translation should be done by certified translator or any other suggestion) that will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
For my case I put my National ID Card number in the form, put expiry date considering as 15 years validity and that’s all. They didn’t ask for the copy of NID card and I also didn’t submit that. No problem was occurred.

If they ask for the copy, then you can submit that one after attesting with Notary public. I think it will not be a problem.

Dear forum members,

We all know that we can endorse at best $2000 per passport and rest of the money we have to bring in cash. Now, if I go to Canada alone and my family members join me later how will i declare the endorsed money in my family members' passports? Will I face any trouble in this regard and will my family members face any problem while traveling? Is there any document that can prove the endorsements in others' passports? Please inform.

Ahsan bhai, you can carry only yours and your family can carry only theirs'. You declare all your money (actually any amount, at Toronto they are not bothered, but at Dhaka they are keen on the amount you take away. If you take a chance and can go through its okey) at Toronto and you also declare the things to follow list and Money to follow list, there you can write your family will bring the rest (say 17,000 CAD) while they come, and your family will declare at Toronto that amount. With both the deceleration, you deposit all the money to the bank and they will not ask anything. Actually the bank asks for the source any amount more than 5000, and you write: brought from home country while traveling and you submit the airport deceleration copy as proof. the original you can retain for future reference. Remember this money is tax free and its been tax paid already at your home country. You need these papers as a proof in the second year while filing the self assessed tax return to your lawyer, (or you give it to your company lawyer to trouble shoot that). Best regards, Shumon.

Ahsan bhai, One can endorse passport (that means buy foreign currency) USD 5000 equivalent in a year. This is the limit per passport (of adult) as per rules of Bangladesh bank. Out of US$5000 you will get 2000 in USD + 3000 (USD equivalent) in other currency (i.e., EUR or GBP ... whatever available in bank). So if you haven't purchased any FC from bank this year, you will get 5000 equivalent USD right away for one adult passport.

That's very strange!!!
What they said about your CSIs...it must be noted at the last pages. .. read that carefully. did u used same email address while applying for FSW? Analyze your GCMS report with some experts! Why criminality or security not started..is there any clue?

No problem at all. you can do that. You need immigration only once, at Toronto, and there you give Calgary address for all your papers to be processed. Cheers...... ;D
