They do not need to carry any more checks...if you see the notes, the CPA has stated all job responsibilities and everything matches....It is just the primary NOC I chose on the online form that is 2281 instead of 2282....Mistake on my behalf while choosing from drop down menu....
In that case maybe sending in a new LOE would help move your file forward.

Hi @legalfalcon - Can you please help me with this application?

Should anything be done or is it too late? I'm thinking of requesting a letter from employer with Duties listed and uploading that.

Please provide assistance!

Thanks
As per IRCC your reference letter should have:

  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;
If the document you sent did not have this, you should send one as per the above immediately via CSE.

Review type A11.2 - Case processing agent: **Review Required by the officer** officer review required re change in age between ITA and eAPR, exemption policy applied as per A25.2(1)**Current CRS score fails below minimum score for round due to change in age between ITA and eAPR dates.

..i know i have exemption with A25.2, but i'm quite bothered with the RR thing. Thank you.
There is no need to worry about. The age exemption has to be recorded in GCMS notes by the immigration officer. The policy only kicks in when your CRS falls below the CRS of the round and that its why it is flagged.

To read on the age policy see https://www.getgcms.com/blog/age-impact-express-entry-application/

After the immigration officer reviews it, your security will start followed by PPR.

Hello @legalfalcon

If an agent over the phone says that your background has not started yet/about to start, does that mean that "Security screening" has not started yet? I'm already eligibility passed since December and I'm wondering if criminality is already part of "Eligibility". Or do they mean both Criminality and Security if they used the term "Background check".

Thank you in advance!
BGC is the generic term used for criminality and security. However, unless you are inland applicant or need RCMP PCC, your PCCs are sufficient or criminality.

Refer to your GCMS notes to see where your application is at.

Questions
1. what does it mean by Eligibility showed as failed prior to promotion
2. there's a lot of RR in my Police Certificates. what does it mean?

Thank you
1. Promotion here means that your application will move to the next stage or is promoted. The first eligibility is by candidate, where in you enter the details and claim to have met the eligibility, which is then reviewed and evaluated.

2. All PCCs should meet the following criteria:

  • For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than 6 months before the submission of the e-APR.
  • For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.
  • Police certificates meeting the above requirements can be accepted even if they have an expiry date that has passed.
  • This includes the requirement to provide a police certificate for countries in which the individual has travelled for 6 months or more in a row, whether or not the individual had an established residential address during this time.
  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
If your PCCs do not meet this criteria, there will be review required and you may have to update them.

Usually if any of the document is missing, without an explanation, your application is refused at R10, the completeness stage. Since your R10 is OK, your application will move and if there is any rejection, it will only be after a procedural fairness letter is sent. So it is better that you meet the above, if you do not before a PFL is even sent.

Hi @legalfalcon - Can you please help me with these queries:

1) My Eligibility is not met because of wrong NOC as per notes. I have raised CSE already requesting change of NOC Code to 2282 (as I put in 2281 on main application online by mistake). Do you think they will accept it and approve or still refuse? As in from past cases what do you reckon are my chances?

2) They did not mention anything about funds check anywhere on the notes. What does that mean?
1) it is not wrong NOC, it is MEC.

Minimum work experience requirement
The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. In calculating this period of work experience, the occupation must be listed in skill type 0 (Managerial occupations), skill level A (Professional occupations) or skill level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2016 [R75(2)(a)].

The applicant’s skilled work experience must also

  • have occurred within the ten years preceding the date of their application for permanent residence; and
  • not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.
Note: At the time of publication, no occupations were designated as restricted.

In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have

  • performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
  • performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].
Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description.

As per the above, you have to show that you have "accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation."

This is where the issue is. If you can provide your primary NOC, and how much work ex you have, I can then analyse more.

My eligibility is passed and now background checks are ongoing. Background check started on 25th feb, 2019. Should I order gcms notes or no need? Will it help me get any substantial clarity regarding at which point my application is at and how more long it will take?

@legalfalcon
Thank you for the response.

Me and my spouse had met all the criteria for our PCCs.
1. One PCC (with RR remarks) is from our current country of residence. we obtained it Sept 2018, and has expired last Dec 2018. I am aor Oct 2018.
2. Another PCC (with RR remarks) we obtained from our country of origin Sept 2018, and has a validity of 1yr.
3. How does PFL works, do we wait for ircc to send us request of it?
4. Do you advise ordering another gcms again?

@legalfalcon I have 9 days to go to reach the 6 months processing milestone and I am still in IP1 stage and eligibility being reviewed. Can my employer apply for a work permit for me. Or if my employer provides an offer letter from Canada will that speed up my application?

Looking forward to your valuable thoughts.

Thank you very much,
Vasanth

Hey @legalfalcon, Hoping you can help me with the following:
I applied back in May 4th 2018 under CEC, am inland. Am stuck in BGC and Eligibility checks right now. My file has a BFD. Am starting to wonder what can be wrong with my application, and the only thing I can start to be concerned about is one of the NOCs I put down for my foreign experience:
Am claiming:
2 years of canadian work experience at company A
4 years of foreign experience at same company A - I was an intra-company transfer.
2 years of foreign experience at a different company back in my country. This is the one am concerned about, reg the NOC.

If they have doubts about it, will they ask for additional info?
Thanks!
As per IRCC your reference letter should have:

  • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits;
If the document you sent did not have this, you should send one as per the above immediately via CSE.

Hi everyone! I posted the same query on Sep AOR thread. I believe, like me, not many there have much clue about this. So I am still waiting for an input. I received my notes yesterday and need inputs on what further actions I should take. Or, should I do just nothing and wait. Your feed back will be very valuable. I have 'X'ed out all parts that would point out to me or any organisation. Thanks.
