Hi all,

Just seeing if anyone has experience our knowledge in regards to PPR and chronic illness?
My wife is the lady's applicant and she has Crohn's disease.
She has had it for about 8 years and is in remission. She needs to take Humira (the drug keeping her in remission) which is relatively expensive.
We had AOR 20th Nov 2018, and medical still isn't passed yet.
Her specialist doctor supplied the PP who did our medical exams with detailed information on her illness. Nothing wrong in regards to TB our other tests they do. No additional docs our tests requested by CIC (yet), and also no PFL issued.
We decided not to post the RPRF upfront, and this was requested on 17th May this year. We were also requested to do biologics in Jan 2019 which were done and passed immediately.

Does anyone have any info or previous experience with a similar situation?
Or what is possibly happening?
The longer time goes on, is it better our worse not hearing from CIC?

Thank you

I had to see a specialist (cardiologist) for a heart murmur. The cardiologist wants me to get an echo that needs to be completed in a hospital setting (because bubbles are added through an IV to check for certain conditions), and the next opening isn't until August 29th. So more waiting for me. My AOR was May 30th. It was my panel physician that told me to see the cardiologist. I have directly heard from CIC about anything. I don't know it any of that is of any help to you.

Your application will proceed normally side by side.

Your medical will remain as ‘You do not need a medical exam’ until R10. After that, it will change to ‘under review’. R10 is the completeness check which is performed after about one month and ten days from your AoR date.

For this, keep an eye on the people having the same AoR as yours. When they will get Medical Passed, you will get the ‘Under Review’ status and it will be ‘Passed’ after the results of additional tests after three months.

My email came from NDVO (New Delhi) as I am from India.

Good luck.
Hi g90
My AOR is 17th July and I am still waiting for MEP/BIL. Due to curiosity, today I just called the hospital and asked about submission of my, my wife’s and my daughters medical report to IRCC and the current status. They logged into their system With UMI numbers and saw that they received msg from them for additional test (X Ray) (just for me). I am not sure what to do as I haven’t received any kind of email from cic yet nor any message in my cic account about such additional medical test request.
I am confused now whether to wait for cic’s communication Or should I go and give the additional tests... can u plz help throw some light on this?

Thanks

Hi, Contact that hospital doctor directly that did your physical check-up, he / she will guide you what to do. You need to take another x-ray test and then hospital will again submit that report to IRCC.

You will get one email regarding it to contact your panel physician.

It may take several weeks for IRCC to eventual send you a mail. I advise you report to your panel physician for the additional test right away so your application won't be delayed any further.

Just thought I'd update. I was referred to a cardiologist for a heart murmur. I had an EKG and an Echo-cardiogram with bubble study. Both came back ok - he thinks I have a 'flow murmur'...so hopefully I clear medical soon once the cardiologist forwards report to my panel physician . The hospital I needed to get the bubble study done took 7 weeks for an appointment so this has been dragging on for some time.

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Kashmir!!!

I had my medical on 05/09/2019. My X-rays got a spot on my lungs and Dr. asked for a second X-ray after five minutes with an apical view. I was asked to sit outside his room and wait for the result. After 10-minutes another Dr. who welcomed us immediately after we started our medical examination saw us waiting outside the same Dr. room and inquired me why am sitting and waiting. I said the Dr. asked me for another x-ray and he told me that he would send it to Radiologist to get his satisfaction. After hearing this, he went to the Dr. room who asked me for x-ray. After 1-2 minutes he came out of his room and said. You can go now. All is normal.
I need to ask does it mean that Radiologist cleared me and after then they told me that All is normal????

Hi. My brother has a Visa application but has problem with the medical.
He did the 2nd x-ray and sputum test result was negative.
The doctor said that they sent the medical result last July 17, 2019.

Just wondering if what will be the next process? We've been waiting for 7 weeks now and still no update from CIC.
Is anybody here on the same boat as my brother? Hope you can shed some light here.
Thank you so much in advance.!
