For point 2, it depends on how your funds is made available to you. If the funds is without restrictions and can be made available to your own account, then its possible for you to opt in for an SDS. Even though if it's not, but was/has paid your 1yr tuition fees + GIC, you can still opt in for SDS.

The only reasons I see is if you just showing the loan letter without full accessibility then its not advisable to opt in for SDS

I could not find any site to apply online for SDS visa canada. So I applied through regular visa. Will they check and divert mine to SDS visa?

i have got admission into post graduate certificate in accounting at york university for sept-19 intake. course period is 10/09/18 to 15/04/19. my ielts score is 7, no bands less than 6. am i eligible to opt SDS ? as my course duration is 7.5months only. website says its an 8 month program.

No worries 8 months certificate is enough im also getting offer letter from york university for jan intake ... wish u all the best ... my profile is also same like as ur profile

Dear sir,
I have completed my bsc.nursing and I have applied for an 2years course In cape Breton University.I have got overall 6.5 in ielts but in one module my score is 5.5.is there any problem in applying through general category. Is this SDS system of visa application have any other benefits other than faster visa processing.

I don't know if it's possible , but why do you want to change it anyway , have you paid 1 year fee or 1 semester?
