This is my time frame.
Invitation to apply received 25th April 2017.
Confirmation letter received 5th May 2017.
Documents sent to Mississauga 8th May 2017.
Documents received by IRCC 11th May 2017.
Approval for parent sponsorship email received 28th June 2017 and file sent to Paris office.
Paris office requesting Police certificate...etc... received 11th July 2017.

Two queries
How did you send your document? Courier or Canada Post?
Did you receive any acknowledgement e-mail from IRCC between 11th May and 28th June, Acknowledging the application?

I believe , you should send the inquiry through e-mail about your mother's photo request. In reply IRCC would confirm the address to send the photo of your mother through mail at certain address, instead of e-mail.

For my application I send both my mother and Father's photo hard copy , although they did not mention in the check list.

I sent it by Canada Post but I paid a bit more to track it.
No I didn't receive anything btw those two dates.

I was thinking of sending my mother photos too but I just followed what they have been asking (Father pictures only).

I got an email from IRCC Paris asking my parents to send their Police Certificates, IMM5562 (Just for my father) and an invite for the medic visit for both of them (IMM1017). They are also asking my mother to send her photos and all this by email?
Do you know how to send pictures as they specified by email?

but you are filling 2 applications right? not just for one person. So theoretically, whatever you put for principal applicant, should put for the other one.

but you are filling 2 applications right? not just for one person. So theoretically, whatever you put for principal applicant, should put for the other one.

It's a single application with principal applicant and dependent spouse. Total two person. Not all forms are needed for both applicants. Check list specifies there are couple of forms which are needed for both. However, it's no big deal. Whoever has not sent photo of dependent, IRCC may ask for it when they send the Medical / PCC request. Whoever has already sent it, better for them.
