Hi, I am still waiting for email. Is there any chances they are sending emails in batches, like any alphabetical order, or month of birth date?

you may have been filtered out by their duplicate elimination process. Call them after 8 May

There are many people who have not received email yet... i have a few. Colleagues who are eligible but none of them received any word yet... i am not waiting but just wanted to let people know there might still be hope!

Hello Friends

Myself and my wife we both filled in the "Expression of Interest" for our parents. She received her acceptance e-mail yesterday but i am still waiting for mine as i entered the pool separately for my parents. Our address on the expression of interest was the same and wondering if that can be treated as duplicate or not as per the messages we are seeing in the forum here. Has anyone received any e-mail yesterday evening onward either acceptance or rejection. This whole thing is so messed up and complicated.

I have also not received an email and I have not entered duplicate entries in the system.
Not sure why didn't receive either Yes or No email. I know many people have not received an email yet.
This looks so messed up. I am confused as to should we now keep hopes of receiving an email or give up.

I received reject email last night when my wife received her acceptance email. We used same address but obviously different names. I know we can't apply for both our parents at this time (only hers). It is so mixed feeling here. :(

Why do you keep saying that? It is just one day they started to notice people.

Can you please share time for each email?

Hi Friend

yes we used our own names for each application for our respective parents. Anxiously waiting for an e-mail since 8 AM yesterday when my wife received hers

I got a rejection email last night. I am from Ontario.

I also sent a complaint to IRCC in their feedback section telling them how some unqualified to sponsor got selected and these slots are taken from those who are eligible. I told them that SIN should be provided next time and family size should be included as well.

Here's hoping to a better PGP sponsorship process next year.

I feel like a dumba$$ for getting our hopes up and for wasting a spot....

I think i miscalculated the financial requirements....

Do i follow the chart plus 30% or do i just follow the chart assuming that it is LICO + 30% already?

If its not, i am off by $1300 dollars for the year 2014.... should i even apply?

Forgive me father for i have sinned.... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

The chart for parent sponsorship added 30% already.

As long as you are using the income chart actually from the Parents application package, it already includes the 30% adder so what is shown is all you need to meet. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5772ETOC.asp

Just don't use a LICO chart from some other page on CIC site.

In order to properly assess at lottery stage if someone qualifies they will need at bare minimum:
- Family size info
- SIN of sponsor and consent to verify income with CRA
- Co-signer info, SIN of co-signer and consent with CRA, and proof that co-signer is PR or Citizen (or just assume if it's a permanent SIN)

Could even go further and require proof that income from sponsor and co-signer was earned while living in Canada since CRA tax returns won't show that, but for lottery stage that may be too much.

Or charge a processing fee to enter the lottery, which will make people think twice about entering without first checking they are eligible.

Lots of good ideas to improve it, so let's hope IRCC actually puts some effort into it for 2018.
