My friend got acceptance letter and asked to apply within 90 days. He is confused with minimum income requirement as they have asked for 2014, 2015 & 2016. He is not meeting Min Income requirement for 2014 as he just got married and his wife was non-resident in Canada who joined in 2015. Will CIC still count as husband + wife + sponsor parent (3 people) for 2014 ? Does he need to meet minimum requirement for 3 family members ?

Number of family is number of family right now. doesn't matter if he got married yesterday or 3 years ago.
He needs income requirement for family of 3.
It's all in the application instruction, there is nothing confusing about it.

In case of a husband and wife (no kids or no dependents), trying to sponsor wife's mother and father (no other dependents to them either) what is the requirement for 2014, 2015, and 2016? (Note, there are no other sponsorship).

Is this correct calculations for this family to sponsor two people?

Wife = 1 (main sponsor)
Husband = 2 (co-signer/sponsor)
Wife's Father = 1
Wife's Mother = 1

*Neither of the two families above have kids or dependents.

I can only imagine how many people like your friend has wasted so many spots for people who can actually read instructions and figured out if the eligible to apply!!!
That is what I actually expect to be happen when they announce new draw for sponsorship. Everyone just went and apply with no hesitation, even though they are not eligible. Dumb.

wr should be going to our MPs and ask whats gonna hapoen to those wasted spots? I am well over the required income & very well eligible and was not selected

Sorry guys, I am not getting it, most of us still have the option for super visa, and next year to put their names. So why that noise now.
Anyways, this is the first time that IRCC does this type of lottery thing.
Be optimistic, I believe this is much better than last year.
So please let us accept the results.

Good luck for guys who got positive emails and hard luck for others.

You also have to consider every year wasted is another year added to our parents. The older they get the more they are rponce to sickness which could make them inelgible.

Any one received email in the morning says was selected and later on received another email says name was not included ? It happen to me and another person from other forum....how is this happen and what is going on ??

You didn't get rejected. You just got another email in which they included your name as they forgot to include it in the original one. Please read THE WHOLE EMAIL!

Yes they mention that we apologize not to include your name in earlier first email

Yes, they forgot to add the name. When you write a letter, usually you start with "Dear NAME HERE". They didn't do it, so they resent the email. If you read the whole second email, you'll see that it's an invitation email.

I am born in India ,having PR in Canada, selected for lottery ,i don't have birth certificate and my parents don't have marriage certificate, what's best way to get these two certificates or any other acceptable alternative? Like for birth certificate can be use 10th marks certifate which have my date my birth and my parent name on it, and for parents marriage cericate can be use affidavit because they got married in 1978 so there was no marriage certicate like register marriage,

Pls suggest the best way.

Here is a dumb questions...


My wife and I are looking to sponsor her dad and we got a lucky ticket from the 10K.

We had are son back in December 2015 and its just the three of us.... does that mean that i have to go back to 2014/2015/2016 as a 4 persons family?

It is possible that you have been filtered out wrongly in the process to eliminate duplicates. You can find out by asking them after 8 May but I am afraid they will simply say you are not selected

its the current family number they will count. If you are 4 today, they will count 4 for the 3yrs
