Super newbie here..

Here is a dumb questions...

My wife and I are looking to sponsor her dad and we got a lucky ticket from the 10K.

We had are son back in December 2015 and its just the three of us.... does that mean that i have to go back to 2014/2015/2016 as a 4 persons family?

so....

Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (2016, 2015, 2014)

4 persons $58,768 $57,642 $57,125

Thanks :)

I think I can answer your question here. I just got confirmation email this morning and I did some research on Family size and MNI (Income you need to make to be eligible).

First, You for 2017 applicant, CIC need our NOA for 2014, 2015, 2016.

Family size, is EVERYONE been born at the date of your application, so its you, your wife, your kids, you mon and dad =5 and income for past 3 years will be assessed based on CURRENT family size.

For MNI, The most accurate data is on CIC website ----> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5772ETOC.asp

Very important to note is the table is LICO + 30% included, that means as long as your family combined NOA Makes more than $60,000 for EACH of above years, you meet the income requirement (some people mistakenly informed that the actual amount is whatever amount on this table + 30% and its WRONG.)

No email received yet..

May be they will start sending more tomorrow?

Yeah CIC website shows Everyone who completed the form WAS sent an email.
which is a lie, why not just say WE ARE SENDING THE DRAW RESULTS EMAIL FROM APRIL 25TH TO MAY 5TH, IF YOU HAVEN'T RECEIVED AN EMAIL CONTACT US STARTING MAY 8TH. >:( :( :-X :-[

May be they are still in process to draw applicants?

This government is about smokes and mirrors. I guess they didn't bet that people would share their experiences with one another across Canada.

I much preferred Harper. Oh well.

Hi Guys,

My wife was arrived in Canada in mid of the 2014 and got a part time job but she was not making that much money that require in income chart for 3 persons in year 2014 but rest of 2015 and 2016 she got full time job.

do she still eligible for parent sponsorship. as she got email from IRCC too. is it necessary to meet all the requirement for year 2014,2015,2016 ?

_FORM IMM5516E__QUESTION__________
2 - TOTAL INCOME AVAILABLE TO SPONSOR
2016
2015
2014
Complete the tables in questions 3 and 4 below. Add the amounts in boxes 3 (h) and 4 (h)
and enter the total for each year.
If this amount is less than the amount of the minimum necessary income above, you
do not meet the sponsorship eligibility requirements. Do not send your application.

I agree. if they wanted to change the process then change it but atleast put enough thought in to it. dont change it just for sake of the change and show that they are doing anything different from the previous government. This is so stupid. I've been living in canada for 5 years without any family member and now I have to wait another year to apply and even then I might not get selected.

Year after year we can keep applying and getting rejected. what a stupid system.

Be a co-signer, add your income to hers, if that doesn't meet the income requirement then she will get rejected, and yes you wasted a spot :-X

"Only 90 days to apply
Sponsors who received an invitation to apply this week have only a 90-day period during which they may apply and submit all supporting documents, meaning that there is a deadline of July 24, 2017. Among other material, sponsors must submit income taxation records and documents relating to civil status.

I believe they are doing this in batches; it's going to be a nightmare if all 10,000 applications flood in at once. Its only a guess, but just makes sense not to overwhelm the process and resources. I myself am waiting for the yah or nay email. Its so frustrating; especially knowing there's confirmed ineligible applicants that have applied and taken spots away from people that have everything ready, read the requirements.

No bodies was aware about the forms details at that time and never asked this type of questions when you shown your interest so how we can decide who meet or not.

I hope you get it soon. :)

100% agree with certus881.

I hope they are doing in batches. its so sad that people dont read the instructions while I was getting everything ready since October.
