Can i apply under the nsnp even if i have a current application under the FSW category? I just lodged my application in FSW this march.

in my opinion, the province will nominate those who have serious intention to stay, live and work in their province...if you selected Nova Scotia in your FSW application, good for you...but if not, they will have doubts on your application for NSPNP...

Hello,

I need your advice regarding the Employment and Settlement Plan.

At point 4 is asking to familiarize yourself with the pre-landing services trough Nova Scotia Start. Did somebody done this ? When you want to start registering is asking for one of the following. If ic check the first option, a, is asking then as a mandatory field, Nomination Number, GCMS number or visa serial number.

I confirm that I, or my spouse/parent, have received one of the following:
a Letter of Nomination from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration
b letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada indicating individuals awaiting statutory CIC checks
c letter notifying pick up of Canadian visa
d Canadian visa (but have not landed in Canada yet)
e Permanent Resident card
f None

Thank you,

Hi,

I would like to ask if the proof of funds is needed from the start of application or it will just be a follow up or it will just be a follow up when the nomination certificate was provided by Nova Scotia immigration?

you don't need to register for this program. just go over what this program does i.e what services this program offers.
you may research about these services and write about those services in last part of the question.

you need to provide proof of fund while submitting your application to NS.
you should maintain these funds till you apply to CIC after you get nomination from NS. At any point of time, your local visa office may ask you to send them proof of fund again. so make sure the fund is lying in the account or readily accessible from somewhere.

Accountant is non-regulated as per me.....kindly confirm from others too....

Please advice regarding about POLICE CERTIFICATES as I want to make sure that the application will not be rejected because of this. For me is kind of misleading knowing that for the FSW Program were mandatory.

It states that POLICE CERTIFICATES are required only if the principal applicant or dependents have been convicted of an offence.

In my understanding, they are not mandatory if you have not been convicted.

Am I right ?

Thank you once again,

If you are not using a lawyer to help you with your application, the answer to the 1) is yes.
but take notice that all the federal forms must be filled up for you as the Appendix-1 shows.

Is is necessory to place the forms which are not applicable stating N/A in the file ?

Hi guys,
I heard that NS Immigration Office will stop receiving files after 31/3/2014. Is it true?

This information is from High Opportunity Career Options Brochure released by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education:

Accountants and Financial Auditors

Regulation Requirements

Certified General AccountantThis occupation is regulated in Nova Scotia. Certification attests that the holder has met provincial requirements for the occupation. Certification may be required by employers, however, a certificate is not required to work in this occupation. The job title is protected (you may not use this job title without certification).

Good luck,
