I doubt they will change about the cap. Every province has a regulated law about how many people should be given a nomination in each year(Federal Regulated) . Unfortunately, they have given priority nomination for those who are in Canada having full time permanent Position (Skilled Work Stream). One of the main reasons why they create this Stream it is because there are many Skilled Work employees who hasn't got Permanent and Full time Positions and they are not qualified to apply before. So, they made this stream to retain them.

thank you Carlaganda23 (are you a Filipina) maganda kasi ehh! haha

Tatal Cap for 2014 year = 700

Skilled Worker = We don't have any visibility
Regional Labour Market Demand Stream = 150
Family Business Worker = We don't have any visibility

As per my understanding, there is no issue for Skilled Worker because they have permanent offer as well as Nova Scotia Immigration team is highly accepted the application. Employer doesn't want to apply for LMO or WP again.

One of my friend who got the nomination letter within 2 months but he applied under skilled worker category.

Here, Regional Labour Market Demand Stream is new category for them and us.... so can't predict anything about process and selection criteria.

I think this is what the Guide means

WHEN NOT TO APPLY
-an individual with a full-time permanent employment offer, a seasonal, part-time or casual worker. Individuals with a full-time permanent employment offer should apply under the NSNP Skilled Worker stream;

I am about to send my application. It is said in the guidelines that do not use multiple staples on a page. I hope one staple is ok. Seniors please provide inputs.

you cant apply for PR twice, so once u get PR as NS nominee. you wont be able to apply again to CIC.

If you are saying you applied to CIC and in between you went to NS on workpermit. I guess that is fine..

Good question.

It is only applicable when you are in Canada.
CIC will issue a open work permit to stay in that province only because you supposed applied under PNP program if it is federal then again you are eligible for open work permit without any restriction of province. Hence, you can move to any province.

I don't think so.. because when you talk about temporary residence your visa, it would be either a visitors visa or working visa, hence it is called temporary residency. :)
while provincial nominee is permanent residency..

"It is only applicable when you are in Canada." definitely i agree with sjulien,, as long as you have a working visa and currently working in canada.. ^_^

I dont understand why they continue to accept applications if they will nominate only 150. I know they will choose the best, but I read in other forum that they accept around 75 app per day. How many application will they accept? There's no sense to be in a queue for the next year. Meanwhile are they doing the pre-screening or not?

Let's just wait and see.

Best of luck to all!
