Q: I hear there’s a cap. Have you reached it yet?
A: The NSOI has received a large number of applications for the Regional Labour Market Demand stream. We will only be nominating 150 in total this calendar year. Please take this into consideration when determining whether you wish to apply to the RLMD.

Q: I hear there's a cap. Have you reached it yet?
A: We're still accepting applications for all of our streams. We have received a huge number of applications for the Regional Labour Market Demand stream, though, and we will only be nominating 150 of those this year. The successful applicants – the ones who are nominated – will meet all of the qualifications listed in our guidelines, will have included all of the information and documents that are required, and show a sincere intention to live in Nova Scotia.

Is there any difference in their approach?

I don't know why but this is what i have noticed something unusual after they updated the contents!!
even earlier few days ago in FAQ's they clearly mentioned about that "They are still accepting applications..." but it's not there anymore and not even under RLMD page.. tht's wht I assumed.. :D

I don't think b4 they mentioned 'Still accepting'. Same update is there from 27thMarch.
Till they mention 'Stopped' People will lodge with some hope.

may be u didnt notice it earlier!! and I dont know why they eliminated that line from contents and still kept "Effective April 1st..." on the other hand. could be any possible reason behind it ::)

No need to go in deep.

Indirect way there are saying that we can't accept more file.

When this new update they given. Is it today.
Why to mention indirectly. They can tell openly. Whether for the benefit of FedeX or DHL (US courier benefit).
As some people will apply still.

guys who r in process of completing their files should need to fast up before they officially declare a STOP! ;D

Well i guess they have recived more than enough applications to nominate 150 as well as huge pool of applications for next year.. Again they might share this pool with employers who can refer our applications and consider is during expression of interest in 2015

Well i guess thwy

I don't think so , Because they update the occupations list from 1- April , and they don't declare clearly that they will stop the accepting ..

They updated also this question...

Q: My job isn’t included on the In Demand list on your web site. Can I still apply through the Regional Labour Market Demand stream?
A: You will only be eligible if your occupation is listed on the In Demand list.

According to a government study, Nova Scotia expects to experience “significant growth” due to retirement rates as well as expansion of new sectors of industry. These sectors includes: aerospace, information technology, skilled trades, financial services, and healthcare.
It is no surprise that the 43 eligible occupations for the RLMD stream fall largely within the scope of the province’s emerging sectors. In fact, Nova Scotia’s economy is expanding so quickly that the province has projected that it needs 75,000 new workers between the years 2011 and 2016. A full two-thirds of these new jobs will originate from the service sector......

Last paragraph of this website...

Don't follow consultant site.. they are getting more money from applicants. They are wrongly marketing NS. How can possible 75000 jobs within 2011 to 2016. (currently even we are in 2014)?

CEC ( Canadian Experience Class Caps ) = 12000 who are in Canada.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp

FSW should be around = 12000 to 20000

Nova Scotia PNP yearly cap = 700

Think about consultant marking that NS need 75000 jobs requirement. :P
We should not rely on 3rd party sites, i dont say they provide false or inaacurate information but we should take things with pinch of salt. By the way the site says 75k jobs between 2011 to 2016 i.e including jobs for citizens , PRs and new immigrants including jobs in govt and services sector
