They call acknowledgement or document fulfillment as Pre-screening. Everyone will get 'Pre-screening ok email' whose documents are fulfilled their requirement.

From that 150 will get nomination straightaway. Others will get option to withdraw or carryover to next year with valid reason.

This is my view. Pls correct if I am wrong.

But is the Pre-screening mail same as AOR ??

If not Pre Screening email will be sent to all completed applicants.

Do you guys think an invitation from a family friend in nova scotia would help with the application?

Applications selction is not First come first serve basis. Its a lottery.

Correct, it is not possible because NSOI need to provide visitor visa / TRV.
I think it's only applicable for those people who are in Canada.

Please let us get things in perspective. I will want to believe that a request for an interview will be made maybe if your forms does not show convincing research made to come up with your answers or there are some unclear issues or information made.

Also, i want seniors to correct me,Provinces usually make it clear that it is not their responsibility to assist or help an intending applicant secure a visa. So i want to believe NS is not an isolation.

For someone also thinking that NS may direct you to your local high commission for interview, it is unlikely. NS and CIC are two different bodies and same with the local high commission. No one take up the job of the other person.

For the records, someone was denied visa for an EV to manitoba on the reason of "PURPOSE OF VISIT" -are you not surprised someone in high commission is claiming ignorance of what EV is to manitoba?

Food for thought. Expect and be prepared for anything please

if not FCFS doesnt mean its lottery.
It could be first completed and eligible applications.

I think it may be useful. If you can, do it immediately, there is no negative impact from this invitation

any one has written settlement plans

can2174, i share your view. Use and choice of words are critical. America does a lottery scheme. Its better phrased "First eligible first nominate"

I am curious to know

who will get AOR ?

1 ) Applications which are complete ?
2) Applications which NSIO has decided to Nominate ?

I think both. There will be two or more steps in NSIO before nomination. The first filter is rejecting incomplete applications. The second filter is choosing the most appropriate 150 applications for nominations. What is the criteria will be used for selecting the best? this is the greatest secret and no one knows except NSIO.

They won't ask us to visit NS (Its not possible practically, except very few). If needed they may ask us to visit High commission at their own country, that is also rare. But during CIC decision there is a step called interview before passport request/stamping.

We all submitted applications, let us wait till we get reply from NSOI. However, we can continue to share good information/update in their website.

It is already stated in the guide file page 11

B. Assessment
The Office of Immigration will conduct a full review and evaluation of your complete application. The Office of Immigration will advise you in writing if an in-person interview is required. If they are requested, the exploratory visit and in-person interview are mandatory before the assessment of the application will be completed.

Check this link http://novascotiaimmigration.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/FINAL_RLMD_stream_April_2014.pdf

On the other hand, exploratory visit is a step in some other nomination programs such as Manitoba (Morden), so I believe that NSIO may ask anyone for it especially that it will not cost Canada any money. Applicant who will pay his accommodation.
