No, I am sure if I call today I will get the same BS again, since it was mailed today one year ago, but was RECEIVED one day after, so I will call on Monday, when it reaches a hard 12 months plus a couple of days

Hello everyone,
During the interview , the interviewer give me prohibition forms to sign . That Is for everyone or they give randomly or they give by any reason?

Hello everyone,
Anyone knows how can I find out what note is in my case to find out what the problem is . I know GCMS but it just shows which part has been done or which one not .
I passed the 14th months and anytime that I am calling they keep telling we are waiting for responce . Because they send note already they dont want to send the note again .

Mehran,
Based on what I read on the forum, IRCC has no power over "External Partner" who does the background check. Most of delayed applications are undergoing background check and IRCC has no control over the processing time (On Friday, I called IRCC and the agent told me you can only be patient as your file is in background check and nothing we can do).

Cheers,

Prohibition commonly becomes complete after all criminality/background check requirements are completed (RCMP, Border Agency, Prisons, CSIS and etc). It is most likely your background check/security clearance is not completed yet.

Cheers,

Thanks again for responding.
When I called call center the agent told me crime, security, Knowledge, residency, language has been done and they are waiting for prohibition 's responce. I ordered the GCMS note 25 days ago and still waiting for responce.

Mehran,
Following link describes the circumstances lead to prohibition on ones citizenship application:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...gibility/situtations-prevent-citizenship.html
In the nutshell, checking all those items would mean they would have to do full background check.

This just sounds like another round of BS from IRCC - most of the items on the list are about history of criminal offenses/convictions, which are already covered in the criminal and security check - if they are already done , what’s the point of doing it again?

The only possible explanation is , the background checks just provide a list of facts, while the prohibition process will determine whether those facts are classified as criminal offense or convictions - but really that’s going to take longer than the background check? Don’t you just need to see if there’s the key word “criminal “ or “guilty” in the text to make “yes” and “no”?
