    Clinical Trial Visa?

When it comes to trials that will need very specific medical information to initially screen patients they typically do. There are self-referring clinical studies but trialing a new treatment for a chronic condition is rarely self-referring because it isn’t a good way to recruit participants.

PGP waiting - Visitor Visa in the meantime??

You can apply for a TRV. It will be evaluated like any other TRV application. Applying for a supervisa may be a better option with a higher rate of success.

    Refused PRTD and appeal

Realistically as pointed out she has minimal connection to Canada. If she wants to move to Canada her best option is to try to qualify for PR on her own.

    Some Interesting Statistics - IRB

That is just the reality of the system. Canada opened it’s doors too far and the asylum system is a disaster as are other humanitarian programs

security and background checks stage for 2025 asylum claimnants

You should avoid leaving Canada if you are not a protected person for any reason unless you’d be happy abandoning your asylum claim. Realistically there’s a huge backlog so processing may take a year or two even for less complex cases.

    irb toronto office hearing timelines

You are likely in a queue now that your security screening has been completed. The big issue is that the queue is likely long so it will take time.

    Parents & Grandparents Program(PGP) 2025

There isn’t a consistent timeline. Some may get it earlier than 30 weeks while others will wait longer. They all technically get invited at the same time but the candidates who get selected aren’t random they are the ones who have the highest scores. It isn’t a random draw for 2000 applicants between 520-600 points. The applicant who has 600 points will get selected before a candidate who has 599...

Did she apply to renew her PR card last time she was in Canada? If using a land border she can cross without a valid PR card. You have to have an appointment because collection typically involves an interview. The interview can quite short it really depends on the details of the application. Is...

Need help to understand EE draw system

Would be surprised to see such a large draw. Using your scenario the 2000 candidates who have the highest scores will be the ones who will receive invitations. If the lowest score to qualify is 525 for example then the tie break rule will apply to applicants who have a score of 525.

    Clinical Trial Visa?

How do you not know? Your MD is typically the one who would suggest the clinical trial as an option and typically would have done an initial screening to determine whether you are a potential candidate for the clinical trial based on the listed parameters. When did you lose your status in...

2025 PR Application Timeline (Protected Person)

That doesn’t make a lot of sense especially since others have reported that IRCC has communicated that they may not start rolling out their 1 time initiative until late 2026 if not later. Until there is a concrete plan on how IRCC plans on running their 1 time initiative (and whether they...
