Congratulations ..and thanks a lot for your input on your timeline. I too received RQ lite in March 1st , 2019 and responded by the end of March
and am now waiting . For me, I sent in my credit and bank statements as well along with employment history. Haven’t renewed PR yet though since it won’t be expired in 9 months anyway.
What is the status of your application so far?

Ok. Done
You are ok if you follow the rule and not misrepresentation in your application. But renew your PR

In process . I called cic a couple times in the last few weeks. They told me that they received my additional documents package back in April and that nothing (no other document) is pending from me for them to receive.

What about you? Did you receive RQ lite too?

What is strange about RQs nowadays is that it seems there are not many people waiting for their files to be evaluated (not much of queue for RQs compared to the past). Yet, these RQs take a very long time to be processed (or a long time of at least 6+ months) compared to other applications. I sometimes wonder what is the benefit to IRCC to intentionally keep these applications wait for a long time. Montreal office please move!!!

Yea it’s a waiting game , no choice but to wait for now. By the way, if you had the number of the officer, would you call the officer and inquire directly about your case?

Would like to hear opinions

I definitely would. But thats me. It depends on each case. Sometimes you may be better to just wait. But sometimes talking might help if you suspect that they would need clarification and you also think that they may welcome your call. Honestly I think they are so busy that do not want any additional comments. Yet, I would welcome a talk if they also want it.

Yeah I think that’s what she said too. She told me to submit all the additional docs and then I think I heard that she said that we could talk when I got back. But the call was kind of jittery since I was out of Canada when she called me. But then, I kept on calling cic hotline number instead of calling her office number directly since I didn’t want to bother her.

Thanks for the opinion. I think I’ll wait a month or more and then call her office number directly.

the fact that the officer has given a direct number is by itself a good sign I believe (not meaning you should or should not call but rather a matter of trust that person has had in you. I and many others have not been given one).

She didn’t give it to me directly. But I saw her number on my caller ID. Also, I think I heard she said, “I’ll send you an email for more document request or we’ll talk when you’re back”. She didn’t make her number private like other officers or agents did in Revenu Quebec or immigration Quebec etc. Yes , I do hope it’s a good sign too.

Any updates on your case too?

All I know is that through ATIP they have moved my file around multiple employees twice in the past 6 months (which is a good sign meaning they are doing something). But no DM yet. I hope it comes soon. Fingers crossed!

Any update?

Yep. So I called the officer who interviewed me. Left the message and she called me back telling me that another officer has my file now. Before she called back, I also received the email from another officer who requested CIT0519 which is the last notice for requesting the missing documents. It turned out that I missed to submit my T4 papers. Submitted them last month. Now back in the waiting game.

Any updates on you guys too?

I went to my MLA office and asked for assistance, they called CIC office here and the officer said background check and presence calculator were both good. If we dont hear from them this month we were told to call again, so we might call again middle of the month. Waiting game feels like forever.
