If we know the number of TR 2 PR that were landed in 2021 then we can at least predict if there is going to be additional intake for 2022 based on the current levels plan.
Yeah, I didn't know the number is not publicly available.

We need to take into account that among the 77 000 who applied, there are those with spouses and families. However, we also know that there was a large number of faulty applications (people applying without language tests, etc.) so it's difficult to figure out how many people are in this group. Still, I would like to see some numbers. Is there some chart or report about the number of people landed in 2021?

This guy?

Good luck to his clients.

Even a restaurant not following its published open hours is immoral, not to mention a country's immigration department.

It is human being's common sense that inducing people's hope then crashing it is evil.
Cannot believe there are ppl defending him.
Yes, the guy is shady and I am not defending him in the slightest. He is there to sell his products and doesn't care about much else.

What is true is that they seem to follow that internal memo closely, so I don't think international students thing is Holthe giving people false hope. It was mentioned in the memo. Not sure if there will be anything organized for international students, but it's true that the memo mentions them.

But even if there is a program or something, I doubt they'll announce it now. They will want to see how it goes with the backlog first.

Any guess on how much the crs cutoff would be for cec when they conduct the draw in nov 2022?

November 2022 is just a speculation based on, well, my speculating. It is not necessarily correct. The memo said "no need for draws at least in the first half of the year". That can mean July 2022.

They also speculated that the CRS cutoff will be above 500 points for at least 6 months, but that really depends on when they start doing the draws. At the moment (with FSW stopped for more than a year and CEC for 5 months), there are around 6500 people above 500 points. They can clear them all in two draws if they are to be conducted now. Not sure how many new people will be added by July (or November), but I am actually unsure why they think it would take them 6 months for the CRS number to fall under 500. Remember, this is the whole poll, including people who will be invited through PNP and who don't count for this.

But I don't know how fast the poll grows and how many new people over 500 are added every month.

yeah yeah yeah, he says that in every occasion.
What he says is that immigrants are so important, so critical to our economy, we want them so much, so...
So, let's stop EE and kick them out of the country after their WPs expire!!!

I think they don't even know how applicants are feeling now. They think we are happy and they are doing a good job.
From 23min in the video he is aware of the problem and is looking to create new pathways/policies for temporary workers/students that are in canada.but however, he needs to announce something soon.

Who are we talking about? Holthe or the Minister?

It is in Holthe's interest that more people are eligible for limited/competitive streams like TRPR so I wouldn't be surprised if he does push for something to happen. Because if they open a stream or something, I feel it would be the same mess like last year. Same if they open TRPR limited spots. More $$$ for Holthe.

I believe he is referring to the Minister. Holthe has no authority - he is a -+.

Great, thanks!

I think he might be telling the truth about being aware of the international graduates situation, but this is Canadian administration. It takes them months to organize something, and people's PGWPs are expiring.
Yeah too many bureaucracy here in public sector administration. I hope when they come up with a public policy it should benefit those who PGWPs have expired already. I am having a feeling that something will be done but their delays have caused people their jobs already - not fair.

I agree. Even if they come up with something to restore people's status, which I feel they might do, people have already lost their jobs and some returned to their home countries. That's really bad, and it's not these people's faults. They played by the rules and did everything right.

But yes, giving extensions and restoring statuses is the least they can do, and I feel they will do it eventually. But there also needs to be a further move, a stream where these people don't have to compete with the entire pool of candidates, though not sure if they will go that far.

Let's hope so but this Minister is strong-headed and doesn't act easily. At least that is what I have observed; imagine all these negative coverage in the news coupled with criticisms from MPs in Ottawa yet the man hasn't taken a single positive step to address the problem of international students.

Sorry, could you please share where did you get the information about 6500 people with a score above 500 in the pool?
