Said this before mate, you gotta compare "REPORTED" PPRs pre-pandemic vs post-pandemic. We know most people don't report them but more PPRs = more REPORTED PPRs. You can see that the current backlog isn't going anywhere. IRCC reported it too, backlog increased from Oct to Nov.
Fair enough. Remember that the "grew" part is something that was reported in December. We know that it takes some time from processing the ATIP request until a lawyer can actually see it. We also know that from 5th November, we got more PPRs for FSW outland, which means that December data could have been generated only shortly after outland cases started to be processed.

For updated information, we have to see a new ATIP which I doubt will be posted anytime soon.

unless someone orders an ATIP requesting their processing/landing inventory for FSW.
Somebody already did, we know the backlog got bigger from Oct to Nov despite no draws. That's enough information if you ask me.

Not really. Cicnews ATIP informs only total backlog, but someone only leaves the backlog once they land and not when they receive PPR, which didn’t happen in 2021. So you need the actual information with distribution of processing vs landing inventory, which exists because there was an ATIP with this info requested last year.

Hello can you clarify if biometrics have to be approved like medicals or it is done once they are updated as 'completed' in our application? I've been asking this too many times but apparently people are too caught up in their own discussions to help someone else.
Biometrics is just a collection of your fingerprints so that they can store them in their database n check if u have a criminal history.. you cannot pass or fail biometrics.. u can only get caught if u r a criminal.. medicals on the other hand are done to know whether the person is physically fit n doesn’t have a serious condition or a disease which in turn puts a financial burden on the government to cure..

If it takes around $50 to file mandamus, does one really need to spend 3K for a lawyer? Can't one do some research and represent themselves? Especially, if most mandamus cases are settled outside court!?! Just a thought!

If you feel you are ready to take on a federal lawyer, go for it

I look at mandamus as a one shot one kill approach so I'd much rather pay more and get the best lawyer to get it all over with in 3 months. The whole point of mandamus is saving time.
True that. But for people like me 10k is a lot. I hope I get something from NDVO by Feb end. Didn't even receive GCMS notes I ordered in Sept 2021. Have ordered another set today

I wouldn’t do mandamus without an experienced lawyer. The process is not a joke or a game. You literally force a federal department to pay more attention to you. Doing so by yourself might not be the best but it’s your file

Yes, I totally understand. Am thinking about hiring a lawyer. But will cross that bridge only when time comes.

yes ! do it, more applicants should come forward like you, more number of mandamus reaching the court implies the pathetic situation of foreigners caused by ircc's shit work. this is how a foreigner can speak out loud. Since we are outlanders IRCC considered the applicants to be mere spare numbers. drag those pricks to the court, They'll realize that processing the apps quicker was way better than sending responses and sending their lawyer for each and every mandamus that reaches the court.
