I just can’t call them never. Trier for the few last months. They are always busy and disconnect.
Do you have any luck reaching them?

Yesterday called to IRCC and got the some confusing response Can anyone help to understand the response? Security is not started yet and at same time she said may be officer is already working on that but not reached a final decision. Then after sometime again said it is also possible officer is reviewing the case. Finally said if security complete you will get update and decision right away. But once again she reminded that from your account information I can see your security is NOT STARTED:p.

I tried 37 times to get through last time. 10am and 2pm feels like a better time to call. Or you could try getting up early to be the first in line to call in.

37 times! That’s bloody insane! I am yet to know if my eligibility was started after 8 months. Last gcms showed Not Started but it was few months ago.
I wonder if I contact MP-will the reply show the eligibility status or it will be something generic?

I am just curious. Is it possible to sue IRCC and seek compensation from all these mental suffering? Class action lawsuit since so many of us are struggling?
I think the only way to sue would be due for breaching procedure fairness when reviewing our applications. It is clear that IRCC breached procedural fairness because they review 2021 cases for theirs processing time statistic and just dumped 2020 cases. So even though we submitted first they review applications submitted after. I am pretty sure it is a breach of procedural fairness.

MP replied me with the following

An agent from IRCC has contacted our office with the following update for your PR application:
  • The application was received at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney (CIO), Nova Scotia on August 28, 2020.
  • The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent and their family members (if applicable) meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which they have applied.
  • The medical examination results are on file and valid until May 19, 2021 for your constituent.
  • The criminality verifications are currently valid for your constituent.
  • The security verifications have not been initiated for your constituent.
  • Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can’t provide you with accurate processing times for this application. Rest assured that we understand how important this process is for your constituent and are making all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.
