Since it is updated today I am assuming that you will receive email with detailed steps by tomorrow morning.

should I be worried about the fact that they asked for fingerprints? I have been living in Canada over 8 years and have no criminal record. Do you think this might make the application process longer?

Not necessarily.. going by responses in the forum, there's no correlation between FP requests and inordinate delays in completion of the process

I received email on 22nd June, hoping to get Test invite soon.

I received email on 22nd June, hoping to get Test invite soon.

Yes - I received the email on June 22nd too. And the tracker got updated with the notification of the test on Friday 25th June... And received the email today..

No - Paper based application. Delivered 1st week of Jan 2021.. AOR March 8... BG Completed April 27

BG 5th may
Received email 22nd June
Hoping for test invite next week.

Your wife will get the Test Invite usually between 2 or 3 days before the Test Start date( first day of the 21 days window).
Start preparing. Wish you good luck
