Any idea, what does the "portal" thing means? Is it to just apply for PR Card after COPR?

It's just a virtual landing system. They send an email to confirm that you are currently in Canada and some basic info. Once confirmed they create your account on pr confirmation portal where you upload your current address and photo for pr card.

No update after that.
I called ircc today and system response shows that
Eligibility- under review
Background check- not yet started

Couldn't connect to ircc agent and don't know the exact status on criminality , security, and VO.

All the information gave by the system is what it appears on my profile. or will that be different if I talk to an agent.
Did some one face the issue.

The automated phone system will just read what's on your profile. If you want the specifics, you'd need to speak to an agent. Best window-time to call them is from 8am to 10am

i tried calling today but didnt want to reach out to agent because last time i talked was 2 weeks ago.
so system response to my application was exactly same as yours however last time agent told me my eligibility was passed.
i will just wait till july to call back as i dont want to bother IRCC agents every now and then.

You can call IRCC and get updates regarding your application via IVR, however, if you need more accurate details, you can talk to an agent.

He just got call for CIC and he missed it as he was on work, and now they emailed him asking for his last entry to canada. What does this mean?

I think he got his PR, but not sure. When do we get the portal email?

Congratulations to your friend. All the best to you as well. Could you please confirm if your friend is a single applicant or has dependents?

He kind of has a point but ircc uses an automated phone system that tells you the status of your application without speaking with an agent. After the system tells you the latest update as seen on your application (eligibility, medical, biometrics, etc), the system will ask you if you want to speak with an agent and at that point just hang up.

Yes, was just curious because many from us are getting final results way more earlier then expected.

Hey guys, I have a question. I gave my biometrics on May 17th and the biometrics number appeared on my profile at the top corner on the same day with expiry date and everything. But my biometric status still says we don’t need your fingerprints. Instead of showing the date.

That is same for all of us. It says "We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes"

I was worried as I see a lot of people showing completed and the date that biometrics was done instead of that message.
