Foreign work experience 2 year 10 month 2 days counting to 3 years in EE profile

Hello everyone,

I have foreign work experience from India totaling 2 years, 10 months, and 2 days — from 31st May 2018 to 1st April 2021. Since the Express Entry profile only accepts month and year, and selecting April 2021 would reflect a full 3 years of experience, thereby my CRS score reflects to 531 (12 points higher). To ensure accuracy and avoid overstating my experience, I entered March 2021 as the end date, which correctly reflects 2 years of experience and adjusts my score to 519.

Is this approach acceptable? As I want to be transparent and avoid any issues later. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
